I have survived my finals and I've gotten through eng comp with my sanity barely intact
I still want to write for invincible but at this point idk where to even start
Soooo
I'm gonna try to do a couple of requests here and there when I'm no longer in fight or flight mode and have had a chance to relax from school and work
Lemme know what some of y'all want to see and I'll do my best. Be as specific as possible because I've discovered through this eng class that I can't be told to write about something and having no idea what the person (teacher) wants to see 💀
Also also also I only know invincible from the seasons that they have done, i have not read a single comic in my life. So if you mention a character thats from the comics its highly likely i will have no idea who you're talking about.
You can go crazy if you want with the requests, just be reasonable.
I'm not too sure on smut cuz i have absolutely 0 ZERO experience in that area, I'm also ace (although according to my friends im really aeroace), at most i can do suggestive or mild but not explicit stuff.
I'm really decent at crack type of fics
I can do fluff and just cuddle sessions i think
Angst im not exactly too sure of because if im not crying about it in my head then i don't think its good enough
Horror would be the most challenging for me because I don't know how to write the fear factors but i can be very detailed on emotions
And I can try to say they'll be short but honestly i don't even know the meaning of a short fic 😅
If you give enough details about what you want to see/happen that'll help so much
"Girls! The food is done!" She called from the kitchen. Soft thuds sounded from the floor above, it was one set of footsteps. But she knew that their "guest" was moving as well, just very quietly.
Celine had just finished setting down the plates at the kid's respective table spots when the little girls entered. Tia was the first one to enter, followed by their "guest".
Her youngest daughter smiled cheerfully, as if she wasn't aware of her almost shadow-like companion gliding behind her silently.
It still unnerved Celine how quiet the little girl could be.
Still, she smiled gently at the girls as they sat down to eat. Well, Tia did at least. The other girl just sat there, staring down at the plate of food blankly. She was so still that Celine had to double check to make sure she was actually breathing.
Was there something wrong with the food? Did the girl not like it? Did she not know what it was?
"Aren't you hungry? The food is really good! My mom makes good food! If she isn't tired and burns it by accident." Tia said to the girl, tilting her head in slight confusion at why the other girl wasn't eating.
Celine huffed in slight exasperation. "It happened once, and yet you always bring it up" she rolled her eyes playfully at her daughter. Tia grinned at her mischievously before turning back to their "guest".
"It's fine if you don't want to eat. We can always come back down for snacks later when you're hungry again." Tia mentioned, as if her mom was perfectly ok with her raiding the snack cabinet at any time. Which, was true to a point, but she usually tried to encourage Tia to at least wait a bit after eating before getting a snack.
However, she would let it slide for now. as long as their "guest" at least ate something, she wouldn't care if it was an actual meal or not. The girl had been here for about 3 days now, and she hasn't been able to get her to eat anything. Or speak.
She hasn't spoken not one word since they'd found her outside on their porch. Celine still remembered it vividly.
*Flashback*
She and Tia had left the house for an outing. By the time they had gotten home, the slow falling snow had picked up in intensity, making it hard to see a few feet in front of her. She had been ushering Tia quickly into the house, to get out of the biting cold air. But then she saw a shadow move out the corner of her eye. Her head had whipped around immediately, scanning the other side of their porch with a slight fear.
At first, she hadn't seen anything, the falling snow and dark evening light made it hard to see anything. But then her eyes locked onto a somewhat large shadow, tucked behind the lounge chair.
"Hello?" She called out hesitantly, bracing a hand on the front door. She was glad Tia had already went inside, she didn't know what kind of animal this was, and she wasn't sure she could properly defend the both of them if the animal was hostile.
The shadow shifted again, seeming to twist into itself somehow. And then, a pair of eyes shimmered into existence. Her own eyes were blown wide, staring back into the brightly colored eyes. They were purple.
Her mind was trying desperately to figure out what kind of animal had purple eyes. Because as far as she knew, nothing in existence had purple eyes.
They bore into her soul, unblinking, freezing her in place. She didn't know what to do. Should she keep still? Back away? She really didn't want to look away from them, fearing an attack as soon as she wasn't paying attention. The hairs on her neck were raised in unease. Something instinctual told her that there was something very, very wrong with whatever she was looking at. It made her want to run away and hide, she felt a building sense of terror the longer she stared at it.
Her eyes watered painfully, making her remember that she needed to blink in order to keep her eyes clear. She blinked.
And the shadow had moved closer.
"Shit!" She yelped, jerking backwards in fright at the sudden close proximity of the shadow. Her foot slipped on the slick porch, making her lose her balance and fall backwards.
When she sat back up, the shadow had moved back, eyes now a dark brown color. Still unblinking, but with a more human-like quality to it. They didn't fill her with as much terror as before, but it was still very unnerving with how this thing never blinked.
Standing back up slowly, not wanting to startle the creature, she carefully shuffled her way back to the front door. Whatever this thing was, she was not certified or experienced in any way to deal with it.
The thing kept its unblinking eyes on her movements, eyes tracking her hand as it grasped onto the door handle. When she creaked it open, it seemed to shy away from the lights inside.
Curious, she opened the door wider, feeling the heated air waft into the cold outdoors. Evidently, the thing could feel the warmth as well since it seemed to shudder in place. Like it wasn't aware of how cold it had been until being teased with the comfort of warm air.
And honestly, it might've been a stupid idea in any other case, but she reached her hand around to the light panel just inside the house, and flipped the porch light on. She wanted to see what this thing was.
And apparently it wasn't an animal or weird creature at all.
It was a child.
There was a child on her porch.
There was a child on her porch in the freezing snowy weather. And who knows how long they've been out here.
All that she knew was that there was a very likely freezing to death child on her porch.
Any previous fears and anxieties she might've had a few moments ago were gone, quickly being replaced with urgency to get the child inside and warmed up as soon as possible.
But, when she stepped closer, the child flinched. It was a very, very, VERY brief twitch of their eyes, but it made her pause.
She raised her hands up in a placating way, lowering herself down to a crouch.
"Hey there, uh, kid, uh, you shouldn't be outside. It's way too cold to be out here without a coat and hat. Why don't you come inside, I can help you warm up and we can try to contact your parents. I'm sure they must be worried sick about you" Celine said gently, aiming to try and be as friendly as possible without sounding like a creep.
However, the child minutely shrank back from her after she mentioned calling their parents. An odd reaction that made alarm bells start to ring in her head. Did they not want their parents to be called? Why? What happened? What's going on?
"Ok, we don't have to call your parents, but I do need to know who I'm supposed to contact for you. I don't know where you came from but this is not the time for you to be attempting a run away choice. You need to stay safe and warm in the weather, there's supposed to be a snow storm later tonight. And I couldn't live with myself if I left a child to roam around in the middle of it." She thought that maybe if she mentioned how bad the weather was going to get, it might convince the kid that being outside wasn't the best option and whatever they were doing could wait until after the storm.
And when it was light again. And when she could make sure that they would be safe and prepared before they left to do whatever they were doing.
Look, she wasn't prepared for any of this to be happening right now, she's trying her best.
The kid continued to stare blankly at her. Their form shivered almost imperceptibly when a strong gust of cold air blew through the porch. She angled her own body away from the wind to avoid the harsh air. It was getting colder by the second, the wind whistling sharply through the silence between them.
Looking closely at the child, she could see that they were dressed in what looked like a uniform of sorts. It was mostly black, she couldn't make out any clear details to it, only that it looked strangely like combat attire? But in a state of severe damage, torn sleeves, frayed holes, heavily scuffed shoes.
What happened to this kid? Were they in a bad situation? Are they running from something? Someone?
Maybe it would be better to let the kid stay here for a while? Just until she was able to figure what was going on.
"Ok, how about this?" She began her new offer, keeping steady eye contact with the child, hands raised in a "stay calm" gesture, and slightly crouching. She was trying to make herself seem non-threatening. Not that it helped much, the child still stared at her unblinkingly, subtly shivering as the icy wind howled around them.
"You can stay here for the night and leave as soon as it's day time again if you want. Or, I can drop you off wherever you're trying to go. After you please allow me to get you some new clothes and some food to go with you. Or, third option, I can leave you alone and you can continue on your, uh, journey?" She was trying to be reasonable with the offers, not wanting to make it seem like they were being coerced into anything they didn't want.
The child actually blinked for once. They were still unmoving and watching her intently. Their face still remained blank, but for some reason she was getting a sense of, intrigue??? from them. But they didn't say anything. Not a peep. Were they even breathing?
"C-Can you understand me?" She questioned, did they speak a different language? No, they reacted when she had first offered to call someone for them. So then why weren't they speaking? Were they too cold?
"Mom? Are you still outside?" Tia's voice called from inside the house.
The child tensed up at the sudden sound of another voice, eyes seeming to flicker for a millisecond before going back to dark-brown. They looked on edge, but there was another sense of what they were feeling. Guilt? Regret? Resentment?
She couldn't tell, it was a mix of different emotions, but they were all definitely radiating grief in some way. She couldn't explain why she sensed it, or why a child would be feeling those types of emotions. What have they been through?
"I don't mean to rush you, you can take as much time as you want to make a decision. But it's getting really cold out here, we can go inside to warm up while you think it over?" She tried, an unsure smile on her face. She was trying so hard to make this child feel safe, and also to not come off as any kind of threat. Something about the uniform they were wearing made her think that they were very capable of defending themself. She didn't want to provoke them by accident.
if the fic exists nowhere but my notes app, perhaps i can trick myself into believing that i'm not actually writing it, despite the fact that it's taking up three notes at this point, and then it might actually get finished instead of sitting in my drafts for years on end.
