BYE
( SHUT UP JACKIE : ) dick having no idea who’s under that mask #ripus
sits in the kitchen , wearing one of slade's shirts , nursing a cold mug of coffee and pretending not to notice him .
Slade knows this game. He’s just never sure of how to play it. He leans against the doorframe, quietly watching Jason, observing—- looking for something to use as a conversation starter, but the mercenary doesn’t do small talk. The shirt is too obvious, and commenting on something like that seems to him like steering the situation downhill into the kind of domesticity that he hasn’t been able to engage in since his family fell apart. It’s hard to process even the thought of Jason wanting him to stick around after everything that happened, let alone mention anything that may hint at it.
“ Your coffee is cold, ” comes out in a gruff voice, slightly raspy from having just woken up. He walks over, a hand finds the other man’s shoulder, and he finds himself at peace.
