The faded letter read "So you've found me then, I suppose. I was close to death when I wrote these so I figured I should tell you why if it came to it. I will remain nameless for your sake, but know that I care for you, and that those arrows may come in handy later. Take care, dear prince. The shadow returns soon. And you may find more of my relics later on. Keep them. -L"
Silently, Legolas read the letter, and then knelt before the statue bowing his head. Though many questions still remained, it seemed he had reached the end of his quest. Who was this man? How did he know Legolas? How had he managed for that box to be delivered? He would probably never know. For some time, he sat there, contemplating the situation, before rising and taking a copy of the stony letter in the statue’s hand. Then, he exited the archives and returned home.
