This spooky yet delicious Halloween Spiderweb Carrot Soup is perfect for your Halloween dinner party. The creamy texture combined with the warm spices makes it a comforting treat, while the spiderweb design adds a fun and festive touch to your table.
Ingredients: 500g carrots, peeled and chopped. 1 onion, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 potato, peeled and chopped. 4 cups vegetable broth. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger. Salt and pepper to taste. 1/4 cup heavy cream. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 tablespoons sour cream, for garnish. 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds, for garnish.
Instructions: Put olive oil in a big pot and heat it over medium-low heat. Put in the garlic and onions, and cook them until they get soft. To the pot, add the potato, cumin, ginger, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and let it cook for 20 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft. Blend the soup until it's smooth with an immersion blender. Add heavy cream and taste to see if the seasoning needs to be changed. To make a spiderweb effect, pour sour cream over the soup in circles that are closer together. To make a spiderweb pattern, start in the middle of the soup and drag the tip of a toothpick or skewer through the circles. For spider eyes, sprinkle black sesame seeds in the middle. Enjoy while hot!
