A Meal to Raise Your Spirits || Sidney and Phoebe
Sidney distantly stirred the pot sizzling on the stove, a hearty aroma filling the kitchen of the home. Water boiled and pasta cooked with a recorded album of Sidney's own music played in the background. The guitarist had been in an off mood lately, the usually upbeat attitude having fallen into a slump that even rocking out on his guitar wouldn't fix. So, he resorted to his last ditch effort for cheering himself up... Cooking.
After prepping the pasta, Sid turned to season and start sauteing some chicken as he prepared a Cajun Chicken Pasta dish. Usually the fancier the meal and trickier to prepare, the better it helped fix his sour mood. Plus it tasted delicious to boot.
"Yo Mightyena, you wanna taste this?" The trainer held up a piece of extra chicken, too small to be cooked with the rest but still a good enough piece for a Poké-snack. Mightyena barked and sat, tail wagging as it looked up at the uncooked meat and as the delicacy was tossed up in the air he swiftly leaped and caught it at its peak. The Dark-type licked its chops and barked, tail wagging, signifying that it was well seasoned even if the dog liked sweet food over spicy at least it wasn't dry.
As his trainer resumed cooking, the Mightyena perked up and tilted its head as it listened to the soft patter of approaching footsteps. He gave a small yip before running to the door and sniffing, barking to its trainer that someone was coming. Sid raised an eyebrow and wiped off his hands as he let the chicken start cooking for the next six minutes or so. "Someone here buddy?" Who the hell could it be? Noone called... Oh no... That could only mean one person. The Dark-type master grinned widely as he tossed the apron he was wearing over one of the dinning table chairs and went to the door just as a knock rapped upon the wooden surface. He opened the door with a smile and chuckled, "Well look who decided to drop on by."
