Alastor huffed and pouted. Here he was, regaling Azazel with a tale of his most magnificent feat ever performed in the Human or Demon Worlds, and Azazel was staring off into space and nodding away, even past the point where there had been nothing but silence to nod at. How awful!

"What could you possibly have been thinking about that took your mind off of my story?" He poked the other right in the nose. "Maybe I'll allow the 'zoning out' if the answer is satisfactory."

Razkiel stared dryly at the cookies. He never had a taste for human food, but he was quite sure they weren’t supposed to look this charred. Just then, the oven dinged. 

“My turn,” he chirped, and, donning some flowery oven mitts, he brought out a tray of his own batch. 

They looked perfectly golden.

If you are, I would like to know. If not, I will apologize and go on my way.” He stated this politely. “I do not like to assume things, sir but I don’t sense any demons right now but you.”

The other man was a relative, that much was obvious to Rin... but he couldn’t figure out which one, or why he had come here. Was it to get a good look at one of his younger brothers? Or did he want something from Rin? The half-demon simply stared at him from his spot halfway behind a wall, brows furrowed in thought.
