Second store on my list is 'Apothecary'

I was definitely inspired by old chemist and pharmacy store fronts for this drawing. My idea overall was to convey this as being owned by a botanical witch- there's herbs drying on the roof, plant window boxes, creeping ivy surrounding one of the windows, empty glass bottles ready for recycling over the front door and autumn pumpkins out front.

Next store on my list is 'Eyeball Bubble Tea.' Went with the name, 'Eye on the Boba.'

A few of my favourite things in this one: jar of eyeballs in the top left window, eyeball garlands in the bottom window, 'premium eyeballs' sign, choice of tea flavour and eyeball signs and the security camera that's always watching.

Materials used: Ryman sketchbook, Muji gel pens, Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink and Pentel white gel pen.

Next store on my list is 'Neck Bolts Hardware.'

Went with the name, 'Stein's Bits, Bobs and Neck Bolts'

I wanted the store to have an overall industrial feel. I added a few references to Frankenstein's monster: the lightening mast, 'electrifying' deals poster, an old electricity meter and torches as lights by the door.

Materials used: Ryman sketchbook, Muji gel pens, Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink, and Pentel white gel pen.

Next store on my list is 'Crystal Ball Repair.'

Had to go with the name, 'Unforeseen Circumstances' 😂

I added a few objects relating to other forms of divination: a scrying mirror, pansies, moon phases and posters for tarot cards and palmistry.

Materials used: Ryman sketchbook, Muju black gel pens, Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink and Pentel white gel pen.

Next store on my list is 'Monster Ramen. Decided to go with the name' Kaiju Ramen' as ramen is Japanese. Also a little inspired to choose this theme by sharlainjapan on youtube and her love of kaiju creatures, hadn't really looked into that genre until I saw her videos around it.

A few details I enjoyed adding: Oodako's tentacles eating ramen on the roof, monster footprint signs, mothra silhouette on the lantern, kaiju gashapon machine on the counter, food signs mentioning King Kong, Gorgo and Megalon, Godzilla silhouette on the floor sign and monster paws on the stool legs.

Next store on my list is 'Haunted Cafe.' I decided on the name 'The Raven's Haunt.' I love looking at cosy cafe designs so I had fun looking at various references for this drawing.

A few details I enjoyed adding: poltergeist pouring some tea, eyes underneath the tablecloth and upper window and of course all the ghosts peering out looking for new customers. I also added signs for jack o' lantern spice, midnight mocha and flat wight (quite pleased with that pun 😂)

First store on my list is 'Broom Hire'

The overall shape is inspired by classic witches hut/houses, there's a black cat watching from the window, heather hung up at the side, triple moon symbol above the window and a few 'tester' brooms parked out in front.
