Amethyst sighed to herself as she worked, digging up debris and parts left behind after that incident with the drill the other day. A whole lot more work than it was worth, in her opinion... Amethyst felt that they should just start gathering up new parts for the rebuilding of the drill, but Pearl insisted that there could still be some salvageable parts, and she wouldn’t stand to let any potential material go to waste.
After yanking an unidentifiable hunk of metal out of the ground, the lavender Gem glanced over her shoulder to check on the smaller Gem not too far away. Peridot had been assigned the same task as Amethyst, gathering up what remained of the drill, partly because it was something for her to do and partly so that Amethyst could keep an eye on her. No leash for now, not after Peridot snapped it, but some form of supervision was still a must.
“Yo, Peri-dork!” she called. “How’s it going over there?”
