I’m a legacy furry?!

My mom has a leopard costume with a posable tail that she’s had since college, which she made herself specifically so that has a soft fur-like texture to the outside AND the inside.

The other day, she said, “want to see how I can make your dad purr like a cat?” and then scratched and back of his head. And he did purr.

She caught me wearing a small tail once, and after checking to make sure that I didn’t wear it out or at work, asked if I was a furry with no judgment in her voice. (I said “kinda”).

You know how you hear stories of people talking to parents or grandparents who initially don’t understand bisexuality because “of course everyone’s attracted to both men and women”, and that family member discovers that they’ve been bisexual all along?

I think my parents are furry equivalent to that.
