With approximately 750 to 900 Sri Lankan Leopards left in the wild, they are classified as endangered.

Young cubs are born blind and helpless.

They stay with their mother, who brings them up alone for around two years for protection and learning the required skills to hunt and survive independently in future.

Once they reach the age of three, jaguars become solitary animals, typically meeting only to mate.

Conservation status vulnerable.

With the Cheetah being so quick they are able to capture prey that no other animal is able to, but speed is not the only adaptation they require.

Stealth plays just as an important role as Cheetahs are only able to chase their prey a few hundred yards at top speed, they must get very close to their meal before beginning their chase
