I don't care if I'm doxxing myself, everyone needs to know the atmosphere here in Lewiston is one of fear. We are all scared. Scared of what happened and scared of what could happened and scared of what comes next. The suspect is still at large. Mass shootings don't happen here. They haven't happened here. Until last night. What does the future hold for us? Is this our future?

Police bullets kick up dust around the clock on the University of Texas tower, as officers return the fire of sniper, Charles Whitman, who shoot at students at the University campus for 80 minutes on August 1st, 1966.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have released surveillance footage of 18-year-old Bryer Schmegelsky and 19-year-old Kam McLeod at a store in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan on July 21, 2019. They are suspected in the shooting deaths of Lucas Fowler and his girlfriend Chynna Deese, whose bodies were found near the pair’s hometown in British Columbia on July 15th, and both have been charged with the murder of Leonard Dyck found at a separate location four days later next to their burning vehicle.

The pair were last seen in Gillam, Manitoba on July 22nd. As the manhunt continues, authorities issued the statement: “It is critical that all Canadians remain on the lookout for Kam McLeod & Bryer Schmegelsky. If seen, do not approach, call 911 or local police immediately.”

Might start tagging my posts with the trending tags because I need people to see this. It's not okay. We're all shaken. Mass shootings don't happen here, these things aren't supposed to happen here. Maine is supposed to be safe. These things don't happen here.

I'm going to take a break from Tumblr for a little while. Maybe an hour, maybe the night, maybe a whole day, a week, I'm not sure. I need to focus on myself and my family, and being online isn't helping at all.
