THEYRE CHARACTERS??? Like sure it changes designs quite majorly but like when I'm reading I literally think of annabeth as series and Percy like in the book, and so do other people (hence the art) its literally fanart, it's not canon and it won't kill you. It doesn't not make sense, if anything it makes more sense!! Because it just means it's easier to tell Percy apart from the 837473 other blonds that exist now. But also I'm p sure people have been making black annabeth fanart since before the show!! Like genuinely worried for these people if they're biggest issue is art that doesn't affect them
