Analysis
Back and mischievous than ever, Loki makes her first seasonal appearance as our first F2P (free to play) flying archer. Disregarding her risque appearance, Loki’s statlines and skills are middling at best boasting mixed defensive stats and mediocre offensive stats. Her weapon gives her in combat buffs if her opponent has full health while her skills take advantage of her high mobility, allowing her to teleport next to any flying allies and support them with in combat buffs. This makes her quite flexible as depending on a player’s decisions Loki can be made into a dangerous offensive force or a mixed phase duelist. Upon being merged she will gain +2 to HP and Spd and +1 to her Res.
Loki’s flexibility all starts with her statline. Taking a look at her offenses first with 31 Atk and 34 spd, Loki is outmatched within her unit type with Bow Hinoka and Summer Takumi boasting better offensive statlines. Loki, however, boasts the advantage of being accessible to players without the need for summoning. Even when outmatched her offensive stats are quite serviceable, with her given weapon, she reaches a decent 45 Atk and 36 Spd in combat without buffs or skill boosts. In contrast, Loki’s defenses are actually decent, boasting 27 Def and 25 Res without buffs. Players can take this mixed bulk to her advantage and with the proper refines and set her up to duel against other ranged units, including archers provided she has Iotes Shield equipped as her A Skill or Seal. Her base kit further improves her flexibility especially on flier teams. Even if she is not able to snag an enemy kill, if she is close enough to another flying ally she can either provide support to said flying unit or whisk them off to safety. Her biggest advantage is her weapon type with all sorts of bows being accessible to her including the infamous Brave Bow+. She can, as a result, be built to suit almost any need a player has.
With the introduction of Heroic Grails in November last year, GHB and TT units alike could finally be merged without the need for a rerun. This made them worthier of investing in for old and new players alike along with providing access to skills otherwise deemed “too expensive” or “premium”. Although easier to merge, the investment cost of doing so for GHB units truly depends on performance in Aether Raids, prior copies obtained and merged, and how many reruns of a GHB unit were missed if applicable. For example, Michalis and Spring Loki have different grail costs despite both being limited units as Michalis has had more copies available for free over time. Grail cost for obtaining a GHB/TT unit starts at 100 and increases by 50 each time the same unit is summoned capping out at 500 grails. Compared to Michalis’s grail cost of 750 if all 6 prior copies were obtained and merged before the grail update, Spring Loki’s grail cost is at a massive 2700, more than triple the cost. It’s also important to consider that Spring Loki will not be available as a grail unit for some time until she is added to the Grail selection of heroes. Such an investment should not be taken lightly and should be contemplated heavily before committing to the Spring Trickster.
Reasons to Invest in Spring Loki
You like Loki and intend to use her in a core team, whether it be for Arena, Aether Raids, or a Flier Team
Loki is our first F2P flying archer and benefits greatly from her high mobility and skills
You have obtained all or most previous copies made available and do not mind the grail cost
Reasons NOT to Invest in Spring Loki
You don’t intend on using her as a core on any team or in any PVE game modes such as Rival Domains or Grand Conquest
You don’t play Aether Raids and have no interest in obtaining grails
You would much rather fodder Spring Loki off for her skills

Build Suggestions
Budget/Low Investment:
Loki’s base kit structures her to be around other fliers. With her being able to teleport next to her flying ally if they are within 2 spaces she can either serve as a buffer or a dangerous ranged foe. The following builds serve to help bolster Loki’s offensive potential with minimal investment.
Both builds displayed revolve around the same idea by patching up her offensive stats while in combat in combination with Beguiling Bow+. We take a speed refine to better guarantee doubles against opponents. In the build on the left we use a combination of Darting Blow 3 and the Attack+3 seal to give her 48 Atk/44 Spd while in combat. The build on the right in contrast grants her more attack in combat with the statline reaching 53 Atk/40 Spd. Luna is kept for the much needed damage output especially against defensive foes but can be swapped out for Moonbow if desired.
Her sacred seal options include but aren’t limited to: Atk/Spd Bond, Atk/Def Bond, Spd/Res Bond, Speed+3, Iote’s Shield, Aerobatics, and Darting Blow 3.
Player Phase/Offensive:
Loki has options to spare when it comes to offensive setups. With numerous bows available in the summoning pool it all comes down to whichever bow & setup a player finds more appealing. The following builds provide a look into some choices Loki has as a flying archer.
The first build is your typical Brave Bow+ setup with the only difference being that it’ll be on a flying unit. Flying units boast the highest mobility in the game, able to travel over water, lava, mountains and trees alike compared to their infantry and cavalry opponents. Brave Bow+ will allow Loki to hit an opponent twice before a foe gets to retaliate. Should she double, however, and be within desperation range, Loki will hit her opponent a total of four times before her foe gets the chance to reply activating Luna in the process. In combination with her high mobility Loki can become a destructive unit with setting up being relatively easy for her. Darting Blow is taken as the seal to better guarantee doubles.
The second build also focuses on her mobility albeit in a different light. With the introduction of the Aerobatics 3 seal flying units could effectively teleport next to any non flying ally within two spaces. Since Loki comes with Flier Formation 3 as her default B skill we effectively give her the option to move anywhere to her heart’s content whether it be to do damage to a unaware opponent or escort a unit to safety. Slaying Bow+ is taken for its cooldown decrease, making Luna a 2 turn cooldown over 3. Swift Sparrow helps to patch up our offenses, granting +4 to Atk/Spd in combat.
High Investment:
As stated before Loki is quite flexible when it comes to her builds given her statline. Loki’s mixed bulk opens up a wide range of possibilities for the wyvern archer in particular leading to some interesting opportunities. The following builds are best intended for players who intend on +10 merging the spring trickster.
The left build plays on her mixed bulk and makes her a close counter duelist. We take Mystic Boost as the B skill to not only provide some healing after combat but to negate weapons that target either defense or resistance depending on which stat is weaker. With both her stats being close in bulk this skill can be swapped for Quick Riposte or a Chill skill if desired. We take Odd Def Wave to increase her physical bulk in hand with Close Def 3 in total granting her +12 Def on odd numbered turns along with +6 Res. The real star here, however, is Devilish Bow+, which has built in Guard, preventing enemy cooldowns to charge and negating builds that utilize Blade skills or Fighter armor skills.
The right build opts to make her an effective mage duelist, stacking her resistance to be as high as possible. This build starts with Guard Bow+ which has built in Distant Def 3, granting a user +6 Def/Res if attacked by a ranged unit. Here we take it two steps further stacking Distant Def 3 as the A skill and seal increasing her def/res by +18 pushing her defensive stats to 49/50. Odd Res Wave is taken to further increase her resistance but can be swapped out with another skill if desired. It must be noted however that this additional bulk will not stop archers from shooting her down. If desired Iotes Shield may be used as the A skill or seal to better fight archers. Dull Ranged is taken to negate buffs on enemy units and is especially effective against bladetome users such as Nino and Tharja.
