I’ve got an English event with my high school first years and eight other English teachers this weekend, and we’re supposed to wear a Halloween costume (since the event is Halloween themed). I haven’t really put together a Halloween costume since I moved to Japan three years ago (didn’t have the time nor the resources) but I wanted to put a little more effort so I’m gonna be a Spring deer! Finished my headband today, and decided to practice my make up. Hopefully I can make it a little better on Friday...

27.05.2012 Good Food And Good Times

Today was another blistering hot day, and having had a taste of the high life at Tim Ho Wan the night before we ventured to another Michelin Starred restaurant for lunch, Spring Deer.  It took us about thirty minutes to walk to Spring Deer before we realised we had quite literally walked three sides of a square and it was at the end of the road we were staying on! Trip advisor recommended the lamb and boy they weren’t wrong, it was quite simply the best lamb I've ever eaten and everything else was sublime. Mackie and I had now perfected eating without the need for any chewing, so were in and out of the place in twenty five minutes then headed back to sleep off our massive food babies.

We headed to HK Island that evening to catch the Grand Prix in an Irish Sports bar, although I had to request the F1 and insist even harder for the sound. Luna and Stigne joined us later on in the evening after they missed us in Shanghai because or travel complications (it would have been a twenty seven hour train from Cheng Du), and we enjoyed the evening with them – discovering on the way home they were staying in the building right next door to ours!

*Random Note: All around the main streets in Kowloon the streets Indian men pop out, as if from nowhere trying to sell you replicas of designer handbags or watches. Harmless at first, bloody annoying after about two minutes.
