Pick a Card: What's Blooming This Spring?
*・゚✧Masterlist | *・゚✧Ko-Fi
Hey y'all, I'm finally finally finally once again back with another pick a card reading, short and sweet! Thank you so much for your patience as I thaw my blog from the cold. I like bright spring colors so felt inspired by the season's north-hemispheric arrival to get back into posting messages. To find your pile, simply pick whatever number, color, plant, or animal speaks to you.
Pink - Cherry Fawn Yellow - Daffodil Duckling Green - Shamrock Frog Purple - Lilac Bunny
Pile 1. Pink - Cherry Fawn
6 of Cups, Page of Cups, 0 The Fool; 19 - Clover, 26 - Joy, Retreat, Leo Moon - Lead, Crocus - Breathe ("Calm, rest, stop and just be.")
Hello, pile 1! Right away before pulling cards I got the image of picnics, casual strolls in the park, relaxing afternoons spent outdoors. When I saw 6 of Cups, I thought "yes, this is a memorable spring". It will be one that either calls back pleasant memories of springtime moreso than usual, but it may inspire nostalgic feelings that aren't necessarily attached to memory. It's a calm, innocent breath of fresh air, especially when grouped with Page of Cups and the Fool. It'll be like taking a trip down memory lane, in the best manner. You'll feel like wearing that lovely pastel dress or tie that you were gifted but didn't know when to wear. There may come a sudden urge to release inhibitions in a steady and moderate way. This release isn't into wildness, but rather softness. Releasing the tension, breathing a sigh of relief when you do. Embrace the bounty this season in particular provides. There is a lot of abundance coming your way (a bluebird of happiness just fluttered around my window and landed on a bush. What a confirmation!), especially in regards to creative pursuits. Whatever lights you up in both joy and ease, Leo Moon wants you to enjoy in full. This is a season for play, even when there's spurts of busyness here and there.
The 6 of Cups is also giving me the sense that perhaps you've had to be the go-to for others in regards to relieving stress. They may be drawn to your caring and comfortable nature, but to not reflect on those qualities could result in burn out before the year really kicks off. This past winter could have been harsh in the academic sphere, or in places where you feel new (being a new parent, new partner, new employee, etc.). It may have been a weird contrast to deal with both having those see you as an empathetic, supportive figure in their lives, almost in a parental sense, while also feeling new and childlike in a different space. Both spheres of expectations to be mature vs. immature or a noob vs. a pro can put a toll on top of the actual responsibilities at hand. This season will let you take a step in a different direction, one where you can withdraw from these near-impossible standards and allow yourself the space to express and create and go with the flow for a while without the need for perfect results or urgency for progress. The fairy in Retreat sits below the Fool, dressed in a soft robe of petals. Next to her is a similar girl sitting peacefully in the meadow. I see these two as you over the new few months, pile 1. You've been working so hard, so give yourself the chance to soak up the sun and indulge in your passions when you can. Thanks for tuning in, pile 1!
Pile 2. Yellow - Daffodil Duckling
8 of Cups, Ace of Pentacles, 10 of Wands; 9 - Chickweed, 7 - Clear Aura, Gratitude, Capricorn Rising - Aspire, Stock - Slow Down ("The pace must abate before it's too late.")
Hey there pile 2! Are you currently doing or looking forward to spring cleaning? Before starting this reading, I felt the need to go through and remove old videos and songs from my playlists that I no longer liked or resonated with, even if there wasn't any rhyme or reason behind it. So I'm feeling with 10 of Wands that deep cleaning can be intimidating because there are so many items to evaluate, dust, and organize, unsure of where things should go and what should be taken out altogether. The cards, especially Stock, encourage you to take your time in going through each room or drawer, even if there is a transition like a move underway. Lean into intuition a little more and feel out how something will work in the long term, rather than overanalyzing by making a million pros and cons for each thing. There could also still be attachment to certain possessions you know aren't necessary or only create clutter, but are still hard to let go. Could it be a cherished pair of pants that no longer fit, or stacks of magazines that have been fully read or cut into pieces for vision boards? Set it aside in a possible-to-go bin and meditate with gratitude before letting them go, without rush. The season will emphasize baby steps from month to month so your path to summer will be bright and clear. Take it easy while staying in motion; rest does not always mean lack of action.
With Ace of Pentacles and Chickweed, there is a promising beginning for you, and it's like this spring will be clearing and setting the stage, making sure all props and lighting are accounted for. There are goals, or even major milestones, you've been eager to engage with, either in this year or any time to come. But with Wands, the energy of passion and motivation, being at the extreme end, it's imperative that certain checks and balances are settled before starting. There's a risk of disregarding plans in order to push through to some finish line, but that mountaintop could be further off in the distance than you may think. Now is not the time to stall out the racecar as the horn blares at the starting line. I even felt that, having chosen Daffodil which is an early blooming flower, you feel more urgent to move full speed ahead. But if the idea of clearing to make way feels daunting, imagine how it'll be when you're already involved and that clearing still needs to be done. It's like wanting to start one project when two others are still in progress, or helping a friend move when you haven't unpacked your own boxes yet. It's tempting, but please take your time for your health, pile 2. That beautiful beginning will still be there even after all the loose ends are tied. You'll soon herald a season where work comes without burnout, recovery comes without stagnation, and you can rise like an early bird while feeling fully rested. Thanks for tuning in, pile 2!
Pile 3. Green - Shamrock Frog
Sagittarius, VII The Chariot, 7 of Cups; 29 - Mustard, 6 - Freedom, Mystic, Aries Sun - Assert, Red Rose - Courage ("Be brave, be strong, believe.")
How's it going, pile 3? I heard you were thinking about doing more traveling perhaps. Sagittarius can speak of many sectors, but I'm picking up that you're traveling with a desire for destination. This could be for a degree you're studying in school. It could also be a pilgrimage to an important place, it might be like a religious holy place but I'm also seeing important landmarks and historical sites. But these are places and things that mean something deeper to your soul than just any day trip. You're not settling for the usual in these coming months, whatever the case may be. Your spring season will have you not just outside enjoying the sun, but far beyond what you may be used to. Perhaps you just got a license and you're getting itchy feet to explore somewhere special, but you're not sure. Or it may be as simple as trying out a new spiritual meetup group that gets together weekly. It's okay to explore all your options this season. If you haven't decided on your degree but you're sure of the school, it's okay to apply as you'll have time to look things through before making any big decision. This is the Easter for not putting all the eggs in one basket, but to dabble around so you can get a better feel of which option is best. This means really getting to know the nitty-gritty details of what you're exploring. So instead of thinking, "should I get into this meditation practice?" there will be some research, investigation, and experimentation required beforehand.
This spring is the season for claiming what you want with Aries Sun. Aries starts the season with confidence, so there may be a strong surge of energy once the choice is made. Ultimately, "there are no wrong choices" was what I channeled, even though in our everyday lives we can see how taking one kind of road might end up a smoother ride than another. Without generalizing the phrase too much, it's okay to see value in all the options even when the elimination game might seem impossible. Some people are dilettantes who are good in many spheres, like the Frog in your pile who can navigate water and land with ease. The more important thing is to focus on making that choice excluding the what-ifs, pressure, or worrying of potential regret. You will be making a bold leap in one given direction; whichever way the wind takes you, self confidence will make sure you land in the right spot. Exploring is not the same as wavering. Reflect on which option gives you the greatest sense of faith from inside? Not just in the sense of "certainty" like, "I'm certain I can easily go into this degree program," but more real to who you are. It's not easy to work through imposter syndrome, which makes it so difficult at times to see the best strengths and qualities available, but this work will be necessary to reach the other side of this season, pile 3. The Chariot and the Rose want you to boldly go where no cat has gone before. Thanks for tuning in, pile 3!
Pile 4. Purple - Lilac Bunny
King of Swords, Queen of Swords, XVII The Star; 20 Belladonna, 3 - Strength, Relax, Capricorn Sun - Discern, Calla Lily - Rejuvenation ("Reawaken and then stand stronger.")
Hi there, pile 4! This spring will be a season of hope. It's not coming in a small package, either. This is hope that will feel like life is finally going on a better track. You've been struggling too long with something over the winter, and this marks the time where things will gradually shift for the better. This struggle may have had to do with a conflict between two people who typically work side by side with the King and Queen of Swords. There's a call to break away from repeated patterns that are straining this partnership from collaborating to the fullest. So two colleagues could have disagreements that lead back to certain habits: one starts the assignment but doesn't want to finish, the other feels more comfortable critiquing the partner's work instead of pitching in to help. Or two people who are dating struggle to find a place to eat or even live in, which could stem from the fear of being assertive. These patterns are being tweaked on both ends here. This spring will come with a revelation that this clash of minds can be settled through focusing on what can be made different this time around. It won't feel as much like you're going at it alone, pile 4. You won't need as much strength to pull yourself up as well as another, you can spend more time on recovering for the warm and fluffier months ahead. Internally, this could also represent a conflict inside you between continuing on the same familiar way or finding a new habit to form. Both should be honored here, just as the water from the heavens pour onto both the land and the pond in the Star.
Using discernment is key, as there are good habits already in place and some that need improvement. By season's end, that improvement won't just show, it'll shimmer. The next months will bring a burst of clarity as to what needs mending, and how to go about it. To do this, there will be a need to prioritize the most important threads instead of getting harried with the smaller knots. You must remember that although there is entanglement going on between opinions and actions, you can only really work on yourself. Perhaps by doing so, you can inspire the other half to do the same. In this sense, you are helping each other by helping yourselves first. You will see the strength in you and the other that may have once been hidden away, since you will see more clearly what's in your control and what isn't, and what isn't in your hands isn't stuck in your mind this time around. "I've done my part," you'll be able to say, to which they might respond, "Hey, me too." This will encourage better teamwork. If you've been stumbling through a fog of uncertainty, now will come the understanding of what is fine and good and what isn't. Overall, I'm seeing a deep breath being taken as a heavy weight is being lifted off your shoulders. Your relationships will benefit from this ease of tension, and things can flow more smoothly than before. You're really vibing along with the fragrant flowers of spring, pile 4, because you're rising along with them. Winter was a dark and troublesome period, but now the light can shine so you may bask in it with peace of mind. Thanks for tuning in, pile 4!
