I finally picked up Spring Pearl yesterday from my aunt. I was out of town during her delivery so she had to hold it back for me.

She's very gorgeous! I love her face sculpt. I've said it in a previous post, but she reminds me of a tonner doll. Her lil purse is removable. I'm unsure if I'll be able to remove her earrings though. Unfortunately they've started turning her ears green like a vintage barbie. I'm assuming this is a common issue.

This is my first "non-american girl" american girl doll (if that makes sense). I'm not really interested in Hopscotch Hill or the mini ag rooms, but the Girls of Many Lands dolls are very nice.

Chou Spring Pearl, of China in 1857. I really appreciate the pop of color her outfit gives the Girls of Many Lands lineup!

I always thought it a bit odd that Spring Pearl's first name is in English, though. Maybe there's a reason (if any of you know, fill me in! I haven't read her book, maybe it's in there), but it seems like calling Leyla 'Night' instead of Leyla, for example.
