I could have sworn that you made a post a few months back about a good Discord server to find online dnd groups to play with, but I'm either crazy or can't find it. (Or it might have been The DMC that made the post and I mixed up my memory.) That being said, do you have any recs for places online to find groups to play with? For whatever reason, websites like roll20 make me feel wary when looking for games. (I really cannot express why, they just do.)

As far as nit-picking! I agree, there are a few situations where their typical responses don’t add up. Also, it’s annoying that Aloth, out of all the characters, has the fewest positive reputation traits (at least for me). It makes it seem like it’s easier to do things he doesn’t like. Comparatively, I can basically sneeze and Takehu loves the shit out of me. In general I feel like the new characters are easier to gain positive rep with than the returning ones.

oh, absolutely. To be quite fair, on my second playthrough I got way better at knowing which parts were considered what and I got a looooooooot of positive Aloth points. The thing is for some reason the positive interactions for him are not only weirdly spaced out, but also don’t add too much attitude points, while it’s easier to walk into things he Absolutely Hates (i think the biggest one being pride/arrogance, and that was hard to notice in advance with dialogues lmao) so it takes away your progress. 

I had the same trouble getting Eder and Pallegina’s attitudes up - however if you have Pallegina and Aloth on team at the same time they both like when you pick options where you’re being responsible/dutiful. And yes I may have readjusted my headcanon of my own OC’s personality to line up with them 😂

Oh man I can’t wait. And even if I complain about the sparse romance content, I do really love how reputation works in this game and I’m already excited to play it a second time.

i have some beef with the dialogue tags (the ‘irresponsible’, ‘arrogant’ etc) because there were moments where i felt they were very inconsistent (nitpicky rant below)* but other than that it was fun to see what effects each reputation had.

also hey if you’ll have prompts or just headcanons re: aloth/watcher that you would like to share i’ll be happy to listen whenever 👀

*nitpick time: it was hard to say what was the main tag of the dialogue when it came to contradictory likes/dislikes, since those don’t really cancel out? for example: there is a moment in one of sidequests where you talk about animancy (aloth hates that), but for some reason saying that there should be no limitations is defined as autonomy (which aloth loves, and is like YES! FREEDOM!). 

some of the situations were just plain silly, xoti hated when i lied to an npc about getting their money back (their money were gone, so i gave them money out of my own pocket), cuz apparently that was being shady 😂

Just play it again when you finish it and do a Lone Wolf run. No joke, Lone Wolf is so overpowered you may never want to go back! (Also there’s quite a few different endings, so bonus incentive? Haha)

It is pretty fun when it is challenging! I could be mistaken because it has been a while since I played, but I think the weakening quest also takes out a lot of the attendants that are part of the fight otherwise. Having something like six extra people beating up on your team also makes it a bit more challenging lol

i really enjoyed it :D even though i had to knock lohse out at one point so she wouldnt get possessed lmao i still ended up using the OP spell a bunch of times but it definitely got risky
