We have also bought a used violin for our little Kayleigh so she can accompany her daddy when he plays the guitar. She hates every second of it, but the Watcher rewards hard work, and girls in particular have to get used to not getting what they want all the time. It'll make her a good wife!
Abilene Johnson here! What a season of changes, of highs and of lows, of joy and grief. But some things do not change, and we all congregate here in this large living room on Sunday to worship the Watcher and have some sweet fellowship with each other! I am so humbled to be the one who welcomes all of her family, her friends, and her neighbors into her home now, and I hope everyone will have a wonderful service.
Maxwell Sawyer here. As a faithful follower of the Watcher, I cannot help but speak out when I see injustices in my own neighborhood and church. It has come to my attention that in some families, the house is so badly managed that the children have to sleep in the living room, some of them even without beds, surrounded by filth and mold! That should never happen! No matter how hard the work might be, no matter how small the income is, a GOOD wife will get it all done and stretch the Simoleons until they are enough and not spend on frivolities like coffee!
"Daisy, you can't get a job!"
"Why not? It's just two hours in the morning, before the little ones are even up!"
"It angers the Watcher! Girls like you are not supposed to work outside the house!"
"What about Aunt Donna? And Aunt Abby? Grandma allowed them to have jobs!"
"Well, I'm not grandma!"
"You're just too lazy to take care of your own children!"
Oh my, what a big day for the Payne family! Our second son Jason Payne is a toddler now, and he and Aaron are already the best of friends! Aaron is just so protective of him and loves to teach him everything he needs to know, the perfect big brother! I'm so relieved Aaron loves spending time with Jason, because I just gave birth to our third child (and the second native Newcrestian of the family), our first daughter, Joanna Payne! New babies are so much work, and with Jacob working so hard in his shed to provide for us, it all falls to me! So Aaron playing with Jason really is a blessing from the Watcher!
With a child, a baby, and another little one on the way, it is often hard for me to find the time to spend time with the Word of the Watcher. I try to get up earlier even though I am tired every day to read, but it is hard, especially after sleepless nights with little Jason. But the lovely friends I have found here in Newcrest make it so much easier, and they encourage me to follow the Watcher every day!
Our dear little Aaron is a child now, and we couldn't be any prouder of him! All the other boys at our church have accepted him with open arms, and he already loves the Watcher, reads the Book, and dotes on his little brother Jason. He can't wait until Jason grows up and he has a little playmate!
Jacob Payne here. The television is, of course, a corrupting influence in any family, and my wife Alyssa and I agree that there is no space for it in the family home. But I spend so much time alone in my workshop that a little entertainment in careful hands and with a strong mind surely cannot hurt. Of course, I would never allow Alyssa or the boys to watch! That is totally out of the question!
