(づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ:are you a hugger?
actually im not because im usually super uncomfortable around people and like i have to be really really comfortable with someone to be comfortable giving hugs (if not they’re awkward) and only one person’s ever told me i give good hugs :’D
About Abel: as we don't have Aziraphale's name written in Hebrew, we can't really assume their names started from the same letter, but wow. As for Cain's sin: well, if we assume that Cain derives from qyn "metalsmith" + that Abel was actually a sacrifice for Yahweh then yeah, killing with a (metal) weapon is quite possible :3
spring-chan's reply in response to my additions in this post
i’ve always assumed his name is the “azi” sound tacked on to “Raphael” thus changing the meaning of “God has healed” into something else
tho as i am a half-Jew w zero knowledge of hebrew besides a few words/etymologies and the fact that it goes backwards, i can only guess that there is a meaning for “azi” somewhere (that or “azi” is an anglicization of a hebrew word ???)
(although there is a Hebrew version of Good Omens so ??? or did they just phonetically translate his name because there isn’t an actual meaning for it?)
but otherwise it’s just interesting that as far as the book is written there is that similarity; i wonder if Pratchett and Gaiman realised?
not just that but killing Able w a metal weapon of Heavenly origin as a sacrifice to God is
whoa
talk about ineffability…
