She just started doing it. Also she speaks backwards now? Like, eyes roll back, speaks in tongues, froths at the mouth, fires lasers from her chest.

The soft chiming of the 風鈴 by the window served to be the only form of respite that Xiang could find here in the abode of his guardian. Whilst his ears focused just on the jingling of the tiny bells that danced upon the current of the wind, his eyes remained fixed upon the occasional ripples of the tea, it’s cup fitting perfectly upon the palm of his hand. 

He leans forward for a small sip, and allows the ever bitter concoction to swirl about his tongue. The bitterness doesn’t bother him-- instead, it sends him into an immediate depth of nostalgia, of childhood, of simpler times. He immediately forces it down his throat-- such thoughts were simply distractions now. They distracted from the task at hand. 

「You know I don’t like it here.」 His voice is sudden, yet remains low, as if he were simply saying it to the tea. His eyes dart up to the woman before him, a quirk of an eyebrow serving as a symbol of his disapproval. 

「Make it quick. I have things to do.」

“No, no, it’s fine,” Iman insisted to her clearly concerned friend, clutching her hand, but the blood oozing out of the cut on her finger would suggest otherwise. “It doesn’t even hurt that much! Really, I just need to run some cold water over it and it’ll be as good as new!” She honestly didn’t even mind the pain; it certainly hurt a lot less than her bruised ego. She usually had no problem chopping up vegetables! She was quick and nimble, with sharp reflexes. To know that she hurt herself chopping up tomatoes... it was absolutely shameful.
