With heavy hearts, we announce the cancellation of HWS Winter Ball 2025. One of the moderators unfortunately received news of a medical complication that will require care and concentration during the week.
We wish them the best for a speedy recovery and good health!
Honestly. Is the only time we’re meant to get together for official diplomacy meetings where we feign productivity?
Ah! And how could I forget? The Olympics! EuroVision! What fun for all of our bodies hardly capable of athletic or physical performance all in the name of "friendly competition."
If all of you are not so busy looking up "deals" and "sales" during one of the most highly-inflated times of the year, you are all warmly invited for a Winter Ball here in Vienna.
... Unless, of course, you're planning on causing chaos.

Attendees can expect daily events from Sunday, December 21st, 2025 until Saturday, December 27, 2025. A full schedule will be released soon, but for now, there will tentatively be:
a talent contest (and other games)

a masquerade (with all the prose you adore)

There’s been a murder by one of the participants, and the perpetrator is still on the loose!
To participate in this Murder Mystery, post in #HWSRPE Halloween 2021 with your muse’s assumptions of who the murderer is. Interact with others and guess who it is. If you feel you have a correct answer, you may approach us with your guess in an ask. The muse must be nominated with the correct URL and Name. We will @mention your target, and they will perish too.
But, if you get it wrong… you may just pass away as well at the hands of the murderer. If you are dead, you will lose the effects of your costume and cannot submit any more guesses. You may still engage in banter with the rest of the participants.
Three hints will be released from us for the rest of the day.
