Are you a sprite artist who enjoys making edits? Would you like your name in the credits of an indie Pokémon fangame? Would you be interested in helping out two newbie game devs who have no idea what they’re doing really?
We’re looking for sprite artists to join the team who can cover the gaps that we can’t!
The kinds of sprites and edits we’d be asking for are:
Fakemon mini-sprites:
You know these sprites? Little icons of the Pokémon that appear on the PC and party screen? We need sprites like this for sixty Fakemon (Including Shiny versions).
We’re also looking for Overworld spritesheets:
And we’ll need one of these for
One Professor
Two Protagonists
One Rival
Two Team Leaders
Four Team Admins
Four Team Grunts (two male and two female)
Eight Gym Leaders
and Four Elite Four.
I’m going to say straight up and truthful that you won’t be recieving any compensation (money-wise) for any work on this project. It’s a labour of love by the two of us and we’re super flat broke to boot, so work on this project is on a volunteer basis. And if you’re not okay with that, that’s fine! I understand this situation isn’t to everyone’s liking.
You will, however, receive developer credit as an artist on the game, in the credits, on our Tumblr and Twitter and of course anywhere we post downloads of it if we decide to create a website or wiki.
