▲  five time my muse thought about kissing yours, and the one time they did.

Tommy is about twelve the first time he sees Samantha. Really sees her. They’ve been sitting in the same class for years, but he has never been interested in girls before now. His brother had laughingly said not too long ago that there would come a day when he’d see girls differently. He wonders what it’s like to kiss Samantha.

Two years later he has his first serious girlfriend. He notices how Samantha looks at the both of them, could she be jealous? After about a month his girlfriend breaks it off, declaring him too boring. Appartently she thought that he was already part of the MC. He goes crying to Samantha about his breakup and when she comforts him, he only needs to lean in an inch to kiss her. He doesn’t.

Samantha and Tommy are close friends during their teenage years. Even so close that everyone is making jokes about it, even Tommys mom. She actually thinks that Samantha would be good for her son, if she would be a little more interested in the MC. She hopes that the girl might bring Tommy closer to the club. They never talk about it really, but it’s more than one movie night that Tommy resist pressing his lips to hers.

When Tommy leaves, Samantha is the only one who knows. He says goodbye to her at the airport. He hesitates for a moment, but presses his lips to her cheek instead. 

He is quite sure that Samantha has gone from Charming, so he is very surprised to see her again a few days after he has come back. Flying into each other’s arms, it takes all he has not to kiss her soundly. Maybe she has a boyfriend, maybe she’s married. They kind of lost track the years he has been away.

Tommy smiles when Samantha shows up with one of her more curious purchases. Pregnant women and their eating habits. When she talks about the new baby clothes she has bought, plopping herself on his couch, he just finds her too cute. He says so as he perches himself on the coffee table in front of her. He isn’t going to lie, that old attraction is still there. And when he leans in this time, he doesn’t make excuses and softly kisses her.
