@sprqpoints “♩” max and zoey
Max couldn’t have imagined a better going away party than the one Mo and Zoey had prepared for him and Rose. Everyone he cared about, and associated with was there. He was more glum than he figured he would be tonight. It was the right decision for his business, and he needed to put some space between him and Zoey. He remembered feeling confident when he walked in. But hearing Zoey say that she’d broken up with Simon threw him in for a hell of a loop. He kept willing those doubts thoughts down. Wanted to show everyone he was excited about this new venture, and make sure Rose was having a good time too.
She’d been such a good companion since they started hooking up it. It felt easy, and with all the history they had, it was fun. No pressure, no expectations, just overall enjoying each other as much as possible. Did he know if it was actually going to go anywhere real? He wasn’t sure. All he knew was he needed space from Zoey to make sure he could find out for real. With her around so much, his mind was divided and he knew that wouldn’t be fair to her.
Though there were a few awkward moments in between, people started leaving the party including Rose. With only a few of his sprqpoint buddies around, Mo started to mix some of the songs at the dj booth. Lady A started to play and he could see Zoey fumbling around with the unused plates. He smiled, knowing this night was hard for her too. He approached her. Though a part of him yelled he shouldn’t he should be as far from her as possible. But Max was never that smart when it came to Zoey. “One last dance before I go?” he offered his hand to the solemn ginger.
