I have taken some bio’s off my page because the muses are not much in demand. The threads they have are being continued and if anyone already writing with them is interested for new threads, I’ll happily write them.

I’m going to see if I can make primary and secondary muses so that they have a place on the page still because I love them too much to just let them go.

“You weren’t kidding. You have this swaddling thing down. Miles looks like he’s actually going to stay down for a while.” An immense relief for the new dad, since both his wife and him have had many sleepless nights since his arrival. He was a cute kid, and David loved him so much, but he also missed his regular sleeping pattern. He was pretty sure the other day he fell asleep eating a cereal bowl.

David had a long lunch since he’d been working round the clock on a new case. He decided it was best to visit his sister as Christmas was just a few weeks away and they hadn’t really seen much of each other. Lets face it he hadn’t seen much of anybody. New Parenthood was tough. “Uh--Zo.” He held his tie to his chest, as he sat down on the couch next to her. “I promised Emily I’d put some ground rules on the gifting this year.” There was no doubt his sister had the best of intentions, but given some little mishaps during big events, he had to cover his bases. 

“No baby chemistry sets, please. It’s bad enough we’ve got him on Baby Einstein. With any amount of luck I want my kid to grow up with some chance at a normal life. He’s already short circuited with my love for theatre--which we both can agree I hope never activates. Because I don’t want to explain to Emily it came from me. Though--to be fair, I could always say it was yours....”

David always knew he married up. It was why the idea of her finding out about his obsession with plays, when he was younger was terrifying. & Let’s be honest, he still loved them. So when he heard her words, he couldn’t help but spit out some of the beer he was drinking, from mere surprise. “Huh?” he asked, dumbfounded, eyebrows crinkling in a confused manner. They were at a fundraiser for the innocence project and they were surrounded by other lawyers and philanthropic people. He gazed around to see what she meant and found a colleague that he used to work with back when he did litigation law. She did have a thing for him then, but they hadn’t spoken in years. With his thumb rubbing his wedding ring underneath the table, he swallowed hard, smiling at his wife. He didn’t like confrontations. “More wine?”

David was doing his early morning visits when he came through the door of his childhood home. Ever since they became pregnant, he’s found himself more in need of their company. He’s always wanted a kid of his own--even doing his best to convince his better half on considering the endeavor. Now that it was actually happening, he was anxious. Suddenly the ambitious public defender was having a lack of confidence trait he was having trouble shaking off. He walked with his mom towards the kitchen as she prepared him a cup of coffee. He smiled nonchalantly at her. “How’s the morning been so far?”

They were having the annual Clarke Family Barbeque where the extended family and some friends came over his parent's house. His dad loved showing off his bbq skills, and David dabbled in the seasoning step. He was chopping up some lemon for the marinade when he saw Max walk in. Most of the guests hadn’t arrived yet, and he was happy for another male counterpart. “Hey Max, ready to get your chow down?” No one pegged him for a smooth bro talker, but he got by.
