Another Gideon and Katayanagi HC:

Gideon took interest in them since theyre popular students in his college days , kind of his social ladder.Twins being top students and have this outrageous fashion edge only Japan's Harajuku scene can consider as lowkey. Skills and intellect too to create cutting edge technology. Gideon got close to them while taking a few courses together.

At first they seem wary of him, especially Kyle finding him kinda pushy despite how smooth Gideon is being. Its always up to Kyle for the final decisions between the twins. So Gideon had to try harder in winning his favor.

The twins were known to join amateur. bot fights using their creations. But they struggle to get supplies everytime they need to work on damages or upgrades.

Thats where Gideon got their favor, he propose they start up their own bot fighting scheme in campus. Lots of less experienced opponents and they can make money out of the student body's allowances. But of course such a sweet deal comes with a consequence. This is Gideon we talking about . Of course he'd play dirty. If they dont agree with his offer he got evidence of their deliquent activities outside campus risking their track record. Gideon emcees for these nightly tournaments

It didnt take long for Gideon's dad to recognize the Katayanagis, they well known for being prodigies who managed to step up in getting scholarships in the best university overseas. With an impressive resume to boot.

To me Todd dyes his hair(its a mousy brown).

Judging from his relationship with his dad, its the typical pressured child in a rich family struggle. With emotionally unavailable parents. Probably even split up too a long time ago.

Todd being the perfect old money child whos sheltered and just easily follows as his dad says. Tbh something Todd would do, with how stiff, restrained and lacking self genuineness he acts . Like they never gave him a chance to grow out of his shell. He never seemed to mature, ignorant and just maintains this arrogant facade just because its something what his family wants him to act in his childhood. Even if they not there anymore to tell him how to act. It just stuck to him, which holds him back. Like the codependency in his family's approval never wore out after being independent.

He was so used to being not in control from them he forgot to live as himself.

And he gets easily swayed and influenced by people which causes him to get always trampled over. As much of a tough and formidable guy he is. Hes practically a doormat (to Wallace, Ramona, Gideon, his dad).

The tough bully facade molded by his parents in his childhood is false security. The way they raised him made him end up even more vulnerable to bad influence.
