Talk about why/why not you want people mentioned in 3ways
Let’s start with tonight’s star, Cyn-
"…" What he won’t tell you is they’ve been having MAJOR fights over Cyn needing to be with other partners because he’s an incubus and literally feeds on sex. It’s a sore subject that is actually tearing Peter’s heart in pieces. Not that Cyn can ever know. Peter just wants to be a good husband, keep his Cyn safe. He’s agreed to let Cyn have whatever he needs, so long as it isn’t with anyone he knows.
"Cyn does not touch anyone else. Period." Translation: I already feel inadequate enough. I don’t need Cyn falling in love with someone as perfect as Finnick or as funny as Bucky or as sweet as Hero. Ever.
Basically, don’t fuck with him when it comes to Cyn.
That takes us on to the second most protected person on the list, Beckett.
"I don’t… We’re not going down that road. Just know that it isn’t an option. Ever." What he won’t tell you is Beckett has a past. Bad past. Talking abusive boyfriends here, man. Peter sees Beckett as someone he will protect until the day he dies, no matter what. Sex between them is like a bond; a promise. It goes beyond sex every time. It’s his way of telling her without words that he is there for her above anyone else. He’s not sharing that with anyone. Ever.
Finnick’s had his name thrown around a few times, so let’s go there.
"He’s gonna find someone better than me anyway, so I might as well help him out." OOOOOOH! Peter sees Finnick as literal perfection. Out of everyone he’s been with ever, Finnick is easily tied for the top spot on the list of people Peter admires the most (other top spot contender is Bucky, and we’re goin’ there next). Peter doesn’t think he’s ever going to keep Finnick. He can’t. He doesn’t think he’s good enough. Peter isn’t as protective with Finnick because he thinks he’s already lost.
And now for the newest relationship that came in like a wrecking ball, Bucky.
"He left me once. Said I wasn’t worth it. If I let him find someone else, someone better…" Peter’s about as terrified of losing Buck as he is of losing Finn, which, if you’ve noticed, is some intense fear. He thinks James is one of the best people you’ll ever hear of, so what the hell is he doing with someone like Pete? He’s not protective because he knows he’s already lost this one.
"That boy is loyal like a puppy. I trust him with almost anyone."Simple as that. There isn’t any deeper explanation. Their relationship is just strong as fuck.
