I have, yet again, taken an extraordinary amount of time to respond to this tag game (but I'm almost caught up with all my tags!!!) so I shall leave this as an open tag to anyone who is excited to tell us about their upcoming projects! Just tag me so I can take a peek.

The Embrace of Love and Death My beloved ongoing main longfic. I should be finished drafting Part 2 of 3 in the next month and a half if all goes well, after which point I will likely take a brief (hopefully a month or less) hiatus to plot out Part 3, which I am planning to begin diverging from many of the game events, leaving them instead as background mentions while I turn my focus to the companions' quest arc finales and the building of Miss Fortune and Astarion's spy network.

Title TBD - TEOLAD's post-canon spy intrigue fic If I am lucky, I'll be able to begin at least drafting my post-canon fic for Miss Fortune and Astarion in late 2026, which will see them raising up a spy/assassin network from the underground up, dealing with other faction dynamics in Baldur's Gate and around the Sword Coast, and taking on new adversaries. All while being a couple of idiots who are madly, grossly in love, Morticia and Gomez Addams style.

The Modiste and the Marquess My very first AU, a Bridgerton/Regency AU. Astarion is finally free of his tyrant of a father and has become the new Marquess of Mirabar. He's ready to "try living again" by rejoining society, and after decades of isolation he's willing to fight for what he wants. The only problem is that what he wants could cost Sasha Amastacia (Miss Fortune), the Ton's most prestigious dress maker, everything they've spent their life working towards. A story of scandal, love against the odds, and standing up to crushing gender roles, being written for @spillingteanotpermitted's splendid Bridger's Gate writing event.

Short Rests I have at least 8 Short Rest ideas that have just been rotting in my brain/WIP folder while I've been focused on other things (resting, 12 Days of Solstice, main fic) but I do fully intend to get back to them. For those not in the know, my Short Rests are flash fiction (usually) of 1k-1.6k words, often offering up a between-the-scenes or alternate POV look at events from The Embrace of Love and Death. For instance, the next one on the docket whenever I have time will be Lae'zel's POV of when Miss Fortune served her with fake divorce papers when they officially became an item with Astarion.

EVERYTHING TBD - a potential enemies-to-lovers Shadowheart x Lae'zel shortfic I really want to write it, so this is a stretch goal for the year. Haven't even begun outlining I just know I love them together, your honor 🥺

For the love of gods I need to finish worldbuilding my original novel concept I've been avoiding finishing up my custom deity pantheon for an embarrassing number of months this should not be the thing that stops me in my tracks but alas...and it's a very deity-centric plot so it is a huge impediment to continuing with any other worldbuilding 🥲

I’ve been struggling for a while to find the right words for this post since this game is so so so good and I really want to do it justice. But since I’m no good at big reviews I’ll just say this: SPY INTRIGUE is a beautiful game that masterfully weaves quiet intimacy in with outrageous absurdity. It is weird, it is touching, it is accomplished, it has a secretary bot, and it is one of the funniest and most affecting things you will ever read. So go play it already jeez.
