Tony Stark/Pepper Potts

Pepper doesn't really appreciate Tony for who he is. She is constantly trying to change him and making him feel bad for being who he is. In general, they just make a terrible couple.

Erica and Ben

literally the only reason they're together is bc the fans liked it, (Ben had a one-sided crush on her) The author not only retconned their age gap from like 4 years to one year, he also completely mischaracterized them and ruined their character arcs just to make the fans happy. It wasn't even a romance story originally but it sorta devolved into one eventually (no hate to romance books)
