Pet update

So, I got home tonite only to find that my cat was seemingly on death's door after her ordeal yesterday. I rushed her to the vet (I had to go there to pick up the dog anyway) and had someone examine her.

She was severely dehydrated, and also had respiratory issues brought on by stress. The vet said she may also have some minor neurological damage from the seizure, but I'll have to observe her for a few days to see if her "funny walk" is more of a muscular issue. They're giving her IV fluids and doing blood work on her now. That's the gist of it, but there are a host of other issues. She's not well.

Hitchock, however, is just fine. The lump they found was just a benign fibrous mass that his primary vet already knew about.

Thanks for your good wishes yesterday. I appreciate it. These fuzzy idiots are my only children, so when they're not well, it's pretty traumatic for me. I promise this won't turn into a "pet blog" though.
