So we’re watching episode 4 and the parallels are killing me:
- Yamanami being told by Toshi he’s a coward if he runs away without having a match with Souji vs. him deserting
- Souji being depressed that he lost the match while it snows vs. him being sad he won’t live until next spring later
- Ryoma being the one who sent Yamanami over to meet Kat-chan vs. Ryoma and Yamanami almost working together later when Yamanami plans to desert
Though the last one is just cursed XD
Regarding the drama re-watch
Ok I know I’m in touken/le fair hell right now, but on Sunday we start the drama with mum so I’m just gonna warn everyone I’ll be posting/liveblogging thoughts for that and the world will probably end.

Not much of an update since we only saw 5 episodes, but hey...
Anyway mum likes Kat-chans parents and Mitsu a lot.
She likes Yamanami too. *me with an evil laugh in the background each time he shows up because she has no idea what’s coming*
And I’ve started to say the “Don't feel bad about it, you’re doing the right ting” phrase a bit too much. T_T
The rest is the same.
I’ll hopefully restart work on the taiga blog soon.
Drama re-watch update 2
Ep 2-3.
Mum said the show is better than she thought it would be.
Also during the thing when Fude was aginst Kat-chan marrying my mum was like “Is she against it because hes gay and they want him to marry a girl?” because I told her about Konhiji earlier and I almost fell out of my chair.

So the results are in!
Mum likes the show so far, but is not completely invested in the story yet. One episode is too little for her to give a full opinion.
She also thinks Kat-chan and Toshi are idiots for trying to steal the flag.
And thought that little Souji is a girl XD

As for me: I’ve confirmed the opening fight sequence is not Ikedaya (the inn is Yanagi) and I drew a bunch of parallels with episode 49 (like how the fence keeps Kondo out at the start, but in the finale it keeps him inside, preventing him from running away). I might a post about that.
Kay, so mum was too tired so we're postsponing ep 1 till tommorow. I'm hoping she falls for a character so she gets hooked. She only has the first 7 eps as obligatory, if she doesn't like it till then she can stop watching. I'll keep you updated.
