I noticed that I almost always have pluto square my venus/moon/mars/rising in synastry charts with people from my generation or with the older generation, what are the consequences of this? I already feel like I'm struggling with the themes of these planets, is it because of these aspects? thank you✨

today’s astro observations

let’s be straight (got ya!) but we’ve all got signs we don’t really like. “i like everyone equally” thanks gandhi! not me.

but really, my signs are gemini and aries. i have three personal planets in gem, saturn in aries. but i’ve always had an aversion to that sign for some reason. my bff trev has his moon there. my aunt her moon. my sister her venus. but it wasn’t until my first roommate was an aries and his scorpio moon constantly surprised me with how compassionate, understanding he could be. like i felt understood, or something. idk.

*disclaimer since people lack perception and depth, but this is obviously a personal and subjective opinion, likely due to my negative polarities of cancer and virgo. i am not arguing that any sign is better or worse, inherently*

then i had a romantic fling with an aries man and i’d realized maybe i’ve been a bit too hasty with my judgment. hey, we’ve all been there.

*interestingly* my sun sign, cancer, apparently forms a natural “square” or point of tension, with aries. 🦀⚔️🐏

well the reason i know this is because moon square mars is also like cancer vs aries. because the moon rules cancer, mars rules aries. or whatever. so this aspect is kinda like that external manifestation inside of myself <3 or at least that’s what i’m telling my lawyer…

Venus square Mars in Synastry

Synastry is what brings two people together, it is how two separate people act in a relationship toward each other (the composite is a combination of both people that shows up in a developed relationship). Venus is the ruler of our love nature, but also our finances, material possessions, grace, creativity to some extent, what we find beautiful, and charm. Mars is the ruler of our energy; our actions/desires, our willpower, but also our sexual energies, passions, and anger/aggression. 

When one person’s Venus touches the other person’s Mars (or there’s a double whammy) there will be an instant attraction, and it’s one of the best indicators that there will be sexual chemistry between you two. A square indicates conflict, suppression, and a battle. Both planets radically disagree with each other. This plays out very differently depending on the energy of the two signs involved. However, a great example of how Venus square Mars could play out is Kat and Patrick in 10 Things I Hate About You.

The Mars person will often be aggressive, dominant, or the leader. The relationship is full of a push and pull dynamic; with the Mars person doing the pushing. There is a strong attraction indicated, and the sex may feel very encompassing. However, the Venus person may feel like a “conquest” by the Mars person, and often be confused on why they are SO attracted to the Mars person. You two can rub each other the wrong way many times. The Mars person can sometimes scare or repulse the Venus person, and sometimes indicate a sexist 50-60′s dynamic in sexual situations. However, the energy of the Mars person is strong, and it pulls the Venus person in, making them enjoy things they normally wouldn’t. The sex is incredibly primal, and the intense attraction is also based on primal instincts. 

This is an incredibly passionate synastry aspect, and if not dealt with carefully, can easily turn into a Love-Hate relationship. One minute you’ll be at each other’s throats, then next having sex all night. It can even indicate a bit of competitiveness, heavy arguments, and a rivalry. It can be very unhealthy, but communication helps tremendously, so be honest with each other, always. Maturity is required for this, and it does help if one person has this aspect in their Natal (they have a deeper understanding of this nature and can handle it better than someone with no previous knowledge).

oh tempest. as pluto never quite leaves me the f*** alone, i’m gonna turn my attention to saturn for a second.

sza’s song literally touched me. i’ve been listening to her for years and she always comes out with songs that get me.

well, ya boy has so far survived his saturn return. i survived 27 by a thread, with the help of a very aries individual. he took me traveling around the country and helped me see things differently. helped me grow up. after all, 27 is when i realized i was no longer a kid. that summer was kind of my last ‘hoorah’. i was gettin deep in my lohan era, but eventually the queen herself had to step her p*ssy up and now she runnin a night club in greece. what more could you ask for? she dipped and recovered mighty fine. we could all learn from lindsay.

i’ve already spoken on my sun square saturn aspect. made me depressed af. but a sermon at a baptist church talked about misery being a ship that needs to set sail, not something to necessarily avoid. hearing that soothed my soul.

now that i’m older and the rules of the game are changing, one aspect of mine that is rather confusing, is that my north node (destiny point) in libra 3rd house, opposites my saturn in aries 9th house.

everyone talks about saturn return and how it’s hard and ruthless but you come out better and more mature from it. lord knows i am as impulsive as the rest of them, and have gotten burned quite a few times now. however, if saturn conjuncts my south node, or where i feel ‘comfortable’ but need to get away from, what could that possibly mean?

south node in aries means i’m very comfortable being confident in myself and other aries traits, but im here to learn the way of libra, that is relationships and compromise and society and rules. not just being so head strong and independent. saturn being here kinda throws me off. if yall have any suggestions, i’d like to hear.

currently i am faced with a dilemma involving my higher education. it seems my 12th house ways have led to the possibility i will not finish my bachelors degree. my crippled moon in the second house isn’t offering me too too much.

we’ll see what happens. i can’t seem to stop talking about astrology though.

The Energetic Resonance of the Square Aspect

I love squares in astrology. They are called a hard or challenging aspect, but I would like to say a very basic piece on this for a moment. You aren't born with any astrological influences you aren't prepared to handle. You, as a Soul/Spirit are attracted to a time, place and environment that suits your evolutionary needs. Challenges bear fruit.

Squares are places were energy is desiring to move through - they are like tectonic plates or volcanoes. The energetic resonance of it requires movement and progress - resistance to it is what causes the most trouble and causes the upsetting eruptions a volcano might. But imagine if your volcano was also a source of energy, that if you worked with its fire and tension - its specific needs that it denotes for your soul growth- you could energize entire cities? When resistance appears, it often comes in forms we don't necessarily know the root of. How do we know what we're resisting if we can't identify it? Look into your squares and see where energy is ready to move. Squares denote two powerfully linked energies that have a lot of momentum when they work together consciously toward a common point - a goal or purpose. As long as we don't fear evolution, change, progress, and growth - if we actually like those things - squares are your friends.
