If you have growing space that you can share please try to find someone who can utilize it.
In normal circumstances it's easy to grow enough squash to feed a lot of people if you have the space. It's usually not too much trouble to grow at least enough potatoes, tomatoes, beans and/or peas to put a good dent in your grocery bill on just a sunny patio. (Herbs to season them all can be grown in the margins outdoors, or on a windowsill indoors.)
Once our garden is in its cycle of plot rotation we'll have plenty of food to store for ourselves with enough left over for gleaners supporting a general strike. Do what you can, too. Even if you can't grow enough to contribute to a hypothetical future general strike you'll feel pretty good about yourself the first time you eat something that you grew.
I'm being 100% sincere when I say that I felt as good about eating from just a small pot of spinach and one of cherry tomatoes on my porch as I do when I eat an Asian pear from one of the trees that I rescued and now tend to.
Please grow something edible for yourself if you can. You deserve it.
