cringe culture is fake because it feeds off of narcissism and a preconceived idea that you’re better than everyone else. and no i’m not kidding everything about cringe culture is perfectly defined by narcissism.
- the idiotic misconception that pointing out the flaws of others makes you better by comparison. (it doesn’t. it just means you know you can’t win an argument fairly, so you instead resort to the petty, dickish tactic of tearing someone down for their faults, rather than tearing down holes in their argument. i.e: you’re hating the player, not the game.)
- the preconceived notion that you’re incapable of wrongdoing, or that your actions can’t be unjust, just because they’re your actions.
example: “these kids will thank me when they’re older, i saved them from embarrassing themselves!”
no, you “saved” them from a normal phase of growing up. you “saved” them from expressing themselves openly. they’re probably already going to look back in a couple years and cringe at themselves, they don’t need some asshole on the internet to cringe at them too. you’re telling them that they’re wrong for self expression, which can ultimately only lead to things like being highly anti-social, and unwilling to share their interests or express themselves for fear of being shunned. you’re not saving these kids; you’re abusing them and manipulating them and potentially ruining all future relationships they find themselves in; because they’re easy targets who are naive.
there’s literally nothing more cringe-inducing or infuriating than a narcissist with a god complex, and that’s exactly what every single person who believes in cringe culture is.
with how shit tumblr’s getting i’ve been thinking about making a twitter or smthn honestly
i wonder how sterling would look in other people’s styles
honestly i think i value creative character design more than realistic character design
watching the new car boys and i just want to point out that the blob is the only thing so far that has managed to turn the ovo into god trash
nothing is powerful enough to god trash the ovo so i am now marginally more scared of the blob
me following a blog: man this guy has nice art and he seems pretty cool
that person: immediately follows me back
