4 and 27 for the fic writer asks 😄
Thank you~! I'll be answering about Linger Till Dawn unless specified otherwise
4. If the fic required it, what did you research in order to write it?
When I was writing Rascal I wanted him to be an Irish Red Setter, as a nod to Scott Joseph saying in one of his streams that that's the breed he imagines Rascal to be. So I did some very cursory research on the breed (appearance, personality, etc). Since I'm not really a dog person, I also had to look up some general dog body language and behaviour, just to make sure what I was writing wasn't too unrealistic (he might be a talking dog, but he's still a dog haha)
27. Share a piece of lore you made up for the story
Other than all the stuff about Taroe (their backstory, family, etc.) probably the details of what happened between the Emperor and Stelmane? The canon doesn't give us much, probably intentionally leaving it up to interpretation, and there sure have been a lot of different interpretations floating around since the game came out. I picked the one I did because it worked best with the story I wanted to tell. I wanted to present it as something that the Emperor genuinely regrets, but without taking away its culpability and the horror of what it did to Stelmane. Which is a hard balance to maintain, and definitely the part of the story I agonised over the most orz
