Lumine was created when a fragment of a star floated into space and fell into the abyss of the earth's ocean.

The fragment, once it reached the sandy bottom, gained a consciousness. It was highly curious about the world around it, so it learned how to navigate the ocean, blinking around while observing many creatures.

The fragment, once satisfied with its collection of data, was going to explore the Lands of the world, when a Firefly squid suddenly grabbed and ate it. The fragment absorbed itself into the squid's body, fusing them together, and so it had granted itself a physical form.

As they were able to retract their form back into a star fragment, xey blinked around the earth, studying more of the world, but they were particularly curious about humans. They learned how to create a spaceship, and built one, thinking that if there is so much life on planets, they should explore them!

They manifested clothing for themselves as an aesthetic choice, and set off into space, to find more planets with life to discover.
