still pmo whenever people say sangwoo wasn’t even guilty after he killed saebyeok. dude he killed himself literally two seconds after he killed her. i know it was half cause he wanted gihun to leave with the money but like. wanting gihun to leave alone with the money was literally his thought process BECAUSE he was so guilty about it. he didn’t feel like he deserved to leave with the money even with how hard he fought because of the shit he did. people r allowed to dislike him because of what he did, im not saying you’re supposed to forgive him for killing saebyeok, but it just really annoys me when people completely ignore that he clearly felt horrible about it just to hate on him even more. you can dislike what he did and acknowledge the guilt he felt at the same time 😭

y'all do understand he was genuienly trying to find the island, right?

he was literally looking at the location of the island at the start of season 2 till captain park told him there was no way it was there. HE WAS RIGHT but the captain mislead him like he did the entire season.

the sole reason jun-ho did not find the island was because he was being guided the other way by the captain and yet you guys keep saying he was stupid and making fun of him but what was he supposed to do? he had no idea the guy who saved him and had been supposedly helping him for years was against him.

also, you realize he found the island all by himself in season 1 and infiltrated it, got information and escaped. by himself.

he did all of that just to find out the person controlling the whole thing was his own brother who he thought was missing or even dead and still didn't lose hope.

he woke up from a coma with the sole purpose of telling people what had happened so they could find the island again. no one believed him, unsurprisingly but when he found gi-hun again, he started the search again despite knowing how dangerous and horrible it was and that his brother was still there as the boss of everything.

he went through all of that including sexual assault (which is also not talked about enough) and still decided to help and people out here hating 😭

and reminder that in the end, he did find it but he was too late which was not his fault because how tf was he supposed to know?

also what was he supposed to do? magically stop the island from self-detonating while trying to get him and his brother and the baby out? he was not about to shoot his brother and if he did what was that gna do? the island was going to explode, no one was going to believe him and gi-hun (and everyone) was already dead. there was nothing left to do so he left.

so let's stop calling him useless because that couldn't be the farthest from the truth.

yes, he didn't stop the games. yes, he didn't get to the island on time. no, that was not his fault. no, he's not useless and no, i will not be taking the disrespect towards him.

No decision is stupid or weak when a gun is pointed to your head, or a sharp object is held to your throat. When a human’s life is threatened, of course they will make decisions that we at home deem irrational, and we see it that way because we are not them. We are not groveling on our knees with the barrel of a gun aimed for the spot between our eyes, we are sitting in the comfort and luxury of our homes, watching a fictional show about a dramatized rendition of the effects of CAPITALISM.

It is okay, in fact warranted and natural, to feel hatred for people who do questionable things, as well as adoration and empathy. You are human. So are they. That is the point of the portrayal. Gihun wasn’t fucking around when he forgave and trusted so easily. He doesnt see “evil” or “nefarious” he sees human.

The REAL enemy? The system. Which is what we’ve been trying to say since DAY ONE of Squid Game’s release. Next time your blorbo gets killed off, dont look at the crazed stare in their murderer’s eyes, look at the knife or gun in their hand and ask yourself the question;

I'm talking with a friend rn abt this and I'm going to be completely honest

How they like did Dae-ho in Season 3 was genuinely so upsetting to me

The way that they made everyone just think of Dae-ho as someone at fault and blame when he literally had a panic attack that was triggered from ptsd is just not right imo

Like why are yall mad it's literally not his fault that that happened

I really would have thought that someone, most likely Hyun-ju would notice as I have a vague memory of her also being enlisted in the army at some point and so would understand what happened

But like I'm not sure if she did but if she actually did then it's upsetting to me that she didn't even speak up about it whatsoever cause my boy didn't mean it :((

But apparently not which is a genuine shame cause that probably means ||that they viewed him as some sort of traitor or the one at fault and blame when it rlly jst wasn't like really just up until the moment he died that was what they thought of him

Plus, to add insult to injury, while Dae-ho is clearly shown to be guilty about it Gi-hun doesn't even seem to care ???? Like he's focusing only on what he said earlier and that doesn't sit right with me

In conclusion: I wish they did Dae-ho better cause a lot of the stuff wasn't his fault and the other cast thought of it as his which makes me upset

no because how can some people say that dae-ho had no ptsd when he was quite literally unable to move when the sound of all the gunfire triggered him, flinched when someone moved too fast, shut down in stressful situations, etc. he was traumatized, he didnt deserve to die the way he did, justice for dae ho :(
