I guess when I saw Gi-hun turning away from the plane with that determined and angry look in his eyes at the end of season 1, I expected season 2 to be about retribution and justice and not another season of watching my favourite characters die.
I don't even think the ending is bad writing-wise. I can see what the writers are going for and even think it's good in a way. But if I knew that they all would die again, but this time including Gi-hun, I would've not have watched it.
Squidgame 2 and 3 felt like a waste of time. Nothing they did amounted to anything. No real conclusion. Gi-hun deserved so much better bro what is this.
Multiple plotlines that went nowhere, except the father being able to reunite with his sick child. The only thing which you could say makes the sacrifices of all the important characters worth something is the survival of the baby but uh. Not enough for me.
Why do so many movies and series love hopelessness and the futility of anything you could do to better the world. Like give up and die nothing you can do will change anything type of shit. I hateeeee it sooo borrringgggg.
Also, why did Sae-byeok's parents not mention their daughter? Why did the detective not kill his brother? Why didnt he give a fuck about Gi-hun? What was that thing on No-eul's lap at the end when she leaves the island with the others?
