In life, gh0st was very very!! Uncomfortable with their gender presentation and being the baby gay they were, living in the time they were, they were extremely scared of experimenting with clothing and their gender expression. Gh0st enjoys "girly" / more traditionally femme-aligned clothing, but they had a lot of inner turmoil and worries about being a "fake" because they still enjoyed things like dresses and skirts (being afab and nonbinary) and due to their untimely end, they weren't able to discover resources and build a support system in life.

BUT!!!

IN death, they were able to learn much more about gender, identity, and themself as a whole!! In a much safer environment (due to being a spirit without corporeal form) and in death they finally gain the confidence to wear the skirts and dresses that their living counterpart abstained from.

Though!!

At first, they were of course very hesitant to begin experimenting with their spectral wardrobe.

HeliX, in an attempt to help his friend feel more comfortable, offered to wear what basically equated to "matching outfits" with them. He doesn't have any qualms with wearing stereotypically "femme" clothing i.e.: dresses, skirts, etc. since hes literally lived tgrough countless eras where it was the norm for people of all identities to wear pretty much dresses and other such things.

So a mental note for a comic idea later, a conversation between the two beforehand:

Gh0st, apprehensive: "but like, you're a guy right?"

HeliX: "yeah?"

Gh0st: "wouldn't you be uncomfortable?? Not to mention, I'm dwad, no one can see me, but they could see you. What if someone said something? *beginning to panic* what if someone DID SOMETHING?!!"

HeliX, deadpan: "ok 1. I've lived through countless eras where skirts and the like were the norm for guys. 2. Im six foot three, built like a tank, i cant feel pain and i cant die. No one would be able to hurt me even if they tried. 3. You're my friend and if it helps you feel more comfortable with yourself, id gladly wear the frilliest of skirts and bows. Ill go the whole nine yards. Youre way more important than some jerk with a complex. Plus clothes dont have a gender and neither do you so there"

Gh0st, genuinely touched: "awww that's so sweet??"

HeliX, dead serious: "ok but i draw the line at heels though. I can't walk worth hell in them. Its awful im about as graceful as a newborn giraffe."

Gh0st, holding back a snicker: "noted."
