I saw some tumbleweeds rolling by under the rengiyuu tag, so I looked to see if there was some kyougiyuu art I hadn't shared yet... surprise :)

I drew the first image just for me originally, but I will share it in these trying Kyougiyuu times!!

Second is a recent drawing I did. I'm calling it "A Six-Hour Flop In My Lovely Boyfriend's Lap Would Fix Me - Rengoku Kyoujurou"

Third is an older drawing, but one that I still love. I adore drawing mers, and I had a lot of fun maoing them so frilly :D (the stripes on Kyou's neck and the fuzzy stripes on Giyuu's side are gills btw) (I wonder if I like drawing mers so much because I don't have to draw clothes unless I want to....)

That last one was hard to draw though lol. I was in a sunny room when I drew it, so I couldn't see anything in the reference that was shadowed like. At all. Upper left person was incomprehensible unless I squinted really hard. Also one of the few times I actually drew Senku instead of giving him the most unserious face ever lol

RIP Yuzuriha I did not do you justice. Also sunglasses. I struggle with glasses that aren't just 🕶 or -O-O-

Day 4: Fairytale AU

Edit: excuse me, why did the image order change when I posted. Now I have fixed it, but I am disgruntled

This is my drawing of Rengiyuu as Prince Lindworm, a Danish fairytale :)

In the Scandanavian version of King Lindworm, a childless queen is told to eat a rose, either red or white. She eats both roses, and gives birth to twins: the Lindworm (the elder), and a human boy.

When it comes time for the boy to marry, the Lindworm demands he get a wife first, as he is the elder son. In the story, none of the maidens like the Lindworm, so he eats them.

The crone who told the queen to eat one rose speaks to the farmer's daughter, who then comes to meet the Lindworm wearing every dress she owns (yes, you read that correctly). The Lindworm demands she take off the dresses, and she agrees on the condition that he shed a layer of skin for every dress she takes off.

Eventually, the Lindworm sheds all his skins, revealing that he is human, and they marry.

It's kind of Kyoujurou's whole thing, that all life is to be valued, and I don't necessarily like that the happy ending is the Lindworm turning human, so I imagine their story would be different, but the idea is there and I just love dragons.
