In "You Keep Him There" you wrote that the reader has a thought that Corio had a larger hand in their marriage arrangement instead of grandma'am because she's senile, but did Coriolanus actively choose the reader? Does he love her or her family name? Has he always wanted the reader? How he acts in the Christmas fic supports that he does love her and actively sought to make her his wife. Is he balls to the wall obsessed with her like was with Lucy Gray (except a bit more)?
Peronsally, I really really hope so. I love that and would love to see more if it.
Corio seems to love HARD, deep, and obsessively and I'm 10000% here for it.
Coriolanus actively chose/sought her out but, not out of love - it was very much for her name, family, wealth, connections, empire etc. It's a calculated and political move on his behalf and he just uses Grandma'am for the 'matchmaker' front but, it's all him.
In Christmas Kiss they're still engaged and getting to actually know one another so, it's more of a sweet/playful moment between them. She struggles a lot with her feelings for him (an ongoing thing for her for reasons yet to be disclosed) but, he pretty quickly comes to like her a lot - they're cut from the same cloth and are a lot more similar than she realises (something Coryo notices way before she does).
In Christmas Kiss, he's not balls to the walls obsessed with her but, he gets there eventually. A lot of things are internal for Coriolanus and the outward expression doesn't always match. He’s just as protective of/would do anything for her and I just need to write something from his POV to show the internal and external of it.
They'd definitely evolve into a couple obsessively in love with each other tho 🤪
