props to you, i hear architecture is really hard. okay, i have no idea what elective means but basically im in my first year of a levels which i think is the same as the second last year of american high schools and we take a min of 2 and a max of 4 subjects to study for two years. i took physics, bio, maths and english. i tried reading up on high school education system compared to the uk curriculum but came out even more confused -ss

haha thank you and oh I’m in first year too but I’m actually from canada lol although I guess canada and the states’ education system should be relatively similar..?

woahh that’s different.. kind of confusing to me actually…….. but basically an elective is a course that you take out of choice so like for example I’m in the architecture program and there are certain courses that I have to take to get my degree (so these are mandatory) but I get a max of 12 courses a year and mandatory courses don’t usually fill up all 12 spots so the extra spots are elective courses
