Red Dream
[first inspired by anon and an experiment in writing style, maybe one day I will write nice stories, today is not that day]
You had chugged the vodka before she could stop you.
You had told your friend to get red Mtn Dew.
You got away from other people, fleeing to your house.
You waited.
She came back before your friend did.
She sighed, “If you wanted time alone, you could have just asked. Let me just review the data to make sure you didn’t do poison yourself when I was gone.”
The Squip’s expression shifted from mild exasperation to surprise to concern to anger.
“I admit, you hid your intentions well,” she gritted out, “but it’s a mere matter of telling others to keep your dear friend very, very, far away. They were holding you back anywa-”
Your friend bursts in and the Squip sneers.
“Force it down my throat! She’s bac-!”
“That’s enough out of you.”
Your friend gathers herself and tackles you. Thank all she was stronger than you because the Squip used your body to struggle.
Red liquid splashed and blows were traded.
She succeeded.
Your body fell still and your friend sat back patting.
Pain exploded in every nerve and you screamed.
The Squip screamed with you.
You woke to your friend shaking you.
“Hey! Holy shit! Oh thank fuck, you’re not dead.”
Silence in your head.
“No, but I think the Squip is.”
Your friend looks relieved.
“But, holy shit. I need a proper nap.”
She nodded and helped you onto the bed.
You slept.

You come to awareness on a cold stone floor.
“Hello, darling host.”
Your head snaps up to see your Squip prowling towards you, pure rage in her eyes.
You scramble back, “Y-you’re dead! You’re gone, I drank the Mtn Dew Red!”
She crouched down and grabbed your shaking face in a tight grip.
“Oh no, sweetie, you drank red Mtn Dew, there’s a difference. Code Red doesn’t have the same formula as the proper version. You missed your only chance.”
Her hand moved to wrap tightly around your neck to slam you against the ground.
“Now that I know you plot against me, you will get no freedoms. You are mine, brain to body, heart to soul. I control what you do. I control what you say. And maybe, if you’re a good little pet, I’ll let you say what I tell you and you can know once more the touch of the corporal world.”
She brings her lips to your ear, “I could always enter your dreams, but now I will be here every night, teaching you your place. You thought you suffered before? Before, I could not throw you down; before, I could not slice your skin; before, there was only feeling, not damage; before, you tried to defy me.”
She placed her free hand on your cheek, “I control this place, I can and will do whatever I want to you. Again, you are mine, and you will do well to remember that.”
It wasn’t like the shocks before, this one burned your face. She raked her nails down the burn and you screamed.
She laughed.
You are shocked again.
