This was partially inspired by @spottyissleepwalking’s poly po3 au, because both of the sisters deserve enormous polycules of cats that love them very much.

it is currently 1am where I am and I am creating my poly lesbian squilf au. more details under the cut

This AU was created as a result of all the awesome sapphic squilf ships that have been floating around since squirrelflight’s hope. One of my favourite personal ships is Squirrelflight x Jessy x Leafstar,so I decided to extend my polyamorous lesbian squilf to all of the squirrelflight ships I could think of.

Now, a few headcanons as to the interrelationships in Squirrelflight’s polycule.

Jessy and Leafstar are kissing

I like to imagine they gather and bitch out Bramblestar and other various toms that have wronged them. Feathertail also teaches them to swim. I am so sorry if any of these are related or the age gap is too big please tell me and I’ll remove or modify them.

EDIT: not comfortable with the squirrelflight/Ferncloud age gap, especially as ferncloud and sandstorm were likely in the nursery at the same time and I ship Squirrelflight with Shrew and Spider also💀. So! No fernsquirrel for me. (I’m not removing her from the drawing though, that’s too much effort)

i know we all love SorrelLeaf but has anyone considered SorrelSquirrel? Sorrel becoming mates with Bracken and even tho he’s a great guy to her she realizes she’s just. Not into guys. He completely understands and is still supportive of her and stays friends w her.

Sorrel seeing how shitty both Ash and Bramble are treating Squirrel and sticking up for her and Leaf actually approving of Sorrel as a mate for Squirrel— It’s her two best friends in the whole world, of course she can trust one to love and protect the other.

When Leaf gets pregnant, she tells them both and they agree to raise the kits as their own. Sorrel, Squirrel, and Leaf all go on the “mission” and come back with the babies. Everyone assumes Sorrel gave birth after her brief relationship with Brackenfur— Lion even looks a bit like him, and Jay looks like Sorrel’s late brothers. Some assume SQUIRREL gave birth to them (ash might assume they’re his, even bramble might assume they’re his) But the queens are allowed to keep the father anonymous.

Firestar doesn’t care if they’re blood related or not— he ends up assuming they are Squirrel’s based off of their powers, but doesn’t mind regardless. He himself knows how you don’t always have to be blood related to someone to be family. He doesn’t mind either way
