@srmiso
while she wouldn’t go as far as to describe herself as gullible, or naive at her age, ryuwon couldn’t deny she was a bit too easy to persuade, given the person trying to rope her into something. most times, if they were agreeable and they got along well, ryuwon didn’t mind entertaining their ideas and schemes (as long as they weren’t illegal), and sometimes they were enjoyable for her.
her mother once said she was so easy to persuade into these things because she didn’t often have the chance to as a kid, mostly due to working for the family business or looking after siblings. ryuwon had never thought she was a kid who matured early, but the more she looked back on it as she got older, she did mature earlier than she once had thought.
maybe this was why she let people encourage her into doing what she sometimes felt were silly things, given her age. but maybe this was why people felt more easy around her than her seniors, given even if the idea was absolutely preposterous, she would still listen and look before coming to a conclusion.
and maybe this was why she was always willing to appease miso, no matter what the younger wanted to do (again, as long as it wasn’t illegal). the round faced girl, in ryuwon’s opinion, held a lot of promise. though she didn’t know much about her, for some reason she really could never say no to her requests, and was often the one running after her whenever she called. for safety reasons, she claimed.
“do you want to tell me where exactly we’re going?” she asked the younger girl, hands shoved into her sweatshirt pockets. the past couple weeks miso had been excitedly talking about places she wanted to look into, and ryuwon didn’t know if she had even decided yet. “i hope you’re not trying to go into the forest because i value my life too much for that. but,” she trailed off, knowing she’d regret what she was about to say next, “we could check out the warehouse for a bit. i’ve been trying to look into the graffiti markings because new ones keep showing up, but i can’t seem to trace them. i tried to ask the bookstore owner if they had any books on that kind of stuff, but she-they gave me some kind of growl as an answer, so i left.”
