@srjoon
because of circumstance, ryuwon had grown up rather quickly for her age, either too shy or had already stepped up responsibility to keep her family in tact for as long as she could, and when it fell apart, to at least be able to hold her own.Â
for this reason she missed a lot of her own childhood and a lot of memories, and becoming a police officer that saw some of the worst parts of humanity didnât always help. it wasnât as if she had nightmares or was stuck in some rut, but her outlook on life wasnât always as rosy, and she often became a bit more lighthearted and at ease when she saw kids being kids, innocent and ignorant of the world they lived in.Â
nearly every adult she knew had some kind of stress or cynical way about them.
that is, except for joonho.
joonho, despite his age, was the biggest child ryuwon had ever encountered, and nobody could be around him for a while without breaking into a smile, or being confused by his ways. for her, it was equal parts comedy and equal parts crazyâshe could never figure him out, and she didnât want to. she just enjoyed being around him from time to time when she could feel her thoughts turning into a dark scribble of a mess some days.Â
and some days, she just liked ignoring her own adulthood to be a kid right next to him.Â
âi canât believe you started without me,â she whined, finding joon already at work playing games in the arcade where they agreed to meet. it was her day off and she needed company that wouldnât provide her stress-and he was perfect for that. she was in âtrainingâ of sorts, to relieve stress. also because she was just really, really bad at arcade games, and if she was going to be around him, she was going to have to get better. âhurry up or iâm gonna mess your whole game up and make you start over,â she interjected, watching his score on the machine climb.Â
