THANK U FOR THIS QUESTION, I'M VERY EXCITED TO ANSWER!!! here are my absolute faves so far, tho i do still feel i'm towards the beginning of my fic journey with them and haven't read a ton of recent stuff so i'm really excited to get to more if anyone has faves:

The Threads Of Fate Tangle And Twist (E, 100k) - this goes first cause it is an absolute, no holds barred masterpiece. like, better than a decent chunk of the published novels i've read this year. it's brutal, emotionally and physically, (it's an au where cait gets thrown in stillwater when she tries to investigate silco instead of marcus trying to hush it up) but couldn't be more worth it. it's gonna be an all-timer for me, i'm in awe of it.

you carry my fears (as the heavens set fire) (E, 4.5k) - as someone with a lot of anxiety around intimacy, this....oof. ooooof. yes.

i know a place (E, 71k) - long, beautiful fics about the aftermath of season one are my kryptonite

say my name and every color illuminates (E, 22k, wip) - i'm an absolute sucker for a soulmate au, you have no idea

the negative space and the pausing of time (T, 9k) - another soft post season one fic (i promise i'm getting to ones that take place after season 2 in my mark for later lol)

In Good Taste (E, 27k) - modern au!! they've been best friends for a decade but refuse to admit it, everyone around them is losing their minds. has a sex scene that made me cry.

currently in the middle of High Tide Came and Brought You In (mermaid au??? yes???) and gray is not a real color (again, literally my first search when i get some new blorbos is soulmate au. can u tell i'm demiromantic and would really prefer my perfect partner to fall in my lap without having to date. can u tell. i'm working on it, don't worry lmao)
