Emergency preparedness
Folks as you may have read earlier. Had a bad water leak. Long story short cheaper to run a new line verses keep digging. Here is a few things simple prep items that helped me.
Mom and dad are close so shower and laundry at their house. Labor day four day weekend by Mike and the crew. Had to be patient. Not going to pay big bucks for fast service. I live alone so this worked better for me.
Condiments, save them all simple ways to doctor your food. Ketchup, bbq sauce both low calorie options.
Paper plates, microwaveable plates, plastic ware and aluminum foil. No need to dirty dishes. Cheap aluminum foil was able to bake simple foods in the oven with little clean up. Paper plates simple disposable. Cucumbers and tomatoes for snacks cut them up and just eat.
Baby wipes and alcohol based hand sanitize. Keeps your hands clean and free of germs. Add cheap alcohol to strengthen hand sanitize.
Paper cups, yes you have to drink something. No need to dirty a glass for milk. juice or coffee.
Simple foods for consumption. Cans of soup’s, chicken, tuna, bread, ham and vegetables for sandwiches. Keep clean up at a minimum. Power bars for breakfast with cups of yogurt. Good snacks when you need one.
Five gallon plastic bucket, pool noodle (for seating) and extra trash bags. Yes you will have to go. Discard after each use in outside trash. Cheap trash bags no need to be fancy.
Five gallons of water. Got to drink, brush you teeth, mix up hand washing and coffee!
Small bars of soap. From hotels will work fine for extra hand washing.
The water factor keep in mind I live alone. Plan accordingly for rest of the family. All of the above cheap options to help you through an emergency as I had. Keep this in mind when you are at the dollar store or dollar tree. Always keep these items on hand. You never know when you will need them.
