this is probably an incredibly unpopular opinion but while i think there is a lot of things missing in season 11, as i rewatch this season and the previous seasons, im maybe a bit glad that the seasons not quite as intense as the last ones. for as much as i loved moffats ever bigger and badder villains and challenges for the doctor, at some point i feel like you’d run out of increasing problems the doctor would have to face and we could quickly spiral into something similar to whats happening to supernatural
