Something has been on my mind lately, I may be mistaken but has anyone talked about our sister? Too much weird stuff happening regarding her, I'm doubting if she is even alive or existed at all.... Uggfhhh I'm dying to know. I don't remember the last time I was so invested in an IF, I'm DYING to know what happened next. I'm usually the type of reader to care mainly about the romance aspect but I'm loving the story so far 💗 and the romance is one of the best I've seen, Iris and Morgan are my favorite but I'm loving getting to know all of them

As someone who has a twin sister, the thought of growing up knowing that we were separated would honestly be painful and I don’t know how well I would process it if I was that young 😢

It certainly would have caused the MC permanent damage in an already harmful environment, changing their life forever.

There are many ways it could've played out, but I imagine the most likely outcomes would have either led to the MC not making it past eighteen, or to them growing up with a strong [even unhealthy] fixation on finding her once they became an adult.

Below the line is just a simple "what if", but…

If the MC were strong-willed enough to keep growing without their twin sister, holding on to the hope of reconnecting with her one day, I doubt she would've felt the same.

As a child, she had a very soft, impressionable personality. I think that if she'd ended up in that family, she would've quickly adapted by becoming more restrained in an effort to please her new parents and receive the love she'd long been starved of.

On top of that, her usual response to trauma is to shut it out completely so she can avoid the pain and keep functioning.

So, despite a part of her always longing for that connection with the MC, her way of coping would likely prevent her from even thinking about them, let alone wanting to reunite in the future.

Even if the MC managed to find her years later, trying to reconnect would probably be painful and unpleasant for both of them.

The vastly different environments in which the twin sister and the MC were raised would only deepen the divide between them [more from the sister's side than the MC's], and I don't think they'd be able to see each other as close family.

That wouldn't change unless the MC refused to give up, or if they were suddenly gone, which could serve as an "awakening point" for the twin sister, making her realize what she'd lost and could never get back.

After that, she'd live with regret for pushing the MC away, left with a longing that's too late to fulfill and a hope.

A hope that, when she dies, she'll be able to reunite with the MC again.

It's really painful to think about, but luckily, the twin sister I described and the twin sister the MC has now are two different people, which clearly shows how childhood could shape who you become.

That's why I think Aunt Heidi [you'll learn more about her in Chapter 4] did a great job raising both the MC and their sister, helping them grow into who they are now.

I've been putting off playing for quite a while but I'm so glad I finally did!!!! Besides the Incredible romance options, I'm intrigued by whatever the MC is (was?) and the not so slow descent to madness :)

Also, I can't wait to beat up the guy who dared to hurt our sis, hope he's ready to catch these hands.

This is random but do you think there will ever be a funny situation when one of the ro visit the mc and think their twin is them. They’ll be like, “hey (blank” and their sibling is like, “(blank) is in the kitchen)” and their siblings calls out, “one of your little girlfriends/boyfriends are here” 😭

No, I don't think something like this is possible, especially with supernatural ROs whose senses extend beyond what humans have.

Not to mention, all the ROs pay very close attention to the MC, so they're unlikely to mistake the twin sister for the MC and always will be able to tell the differences for several reasons.

First, even if the MC's gender, hairstyle, and hair length match their sister's, the way they carry themselves are different:

Your build and height are about the same, but while your stance radiates a silent strength and resilience, ${sis_hrs} is softer and more rounded—untouched by the rigors of police work.

Next, their eye colors don't match, and the MC's scars and moles [if they have any] also create distinctions.

Even the way they smell is different, and some of the ROs would be able to tell the difference even from a large distance and their eyes closed.

very interesting 🤔 is this how you meant to write this line? is the eyes colour supposed to reflect the MC eyes instead of Olivia? since i chose that colour for mc. what's with mc deal with their sister? kinda sus. especially with the new update. even more if you chose a certain option after meeting someone from mc past. now i get R pov. damn i would be sus of the detective too
